[Did she have to kiss someone weird? Is she sick? Did a monster appear and start attacking people? Yes, all of those seem equally likely.]

[ Florina slumps forward, sighing. ]

[Karen initially parses this as "I was hoping some disaster would happen and give me an excuse to leave," but quickly realizes what Florina actually meant.]
