Very true, and this apple's not payment for a kiss; it's payment for not screaming about me popping in here. (this means that there is definitely a picture somewhere of damian at the kissing booth and it's definitely found its way to alfred who has definitely shown it to bruce. damian's life is suffering.)

If she had been anyone else, what came next would have been just as light and soft as the one that had come before.

If she had been anyone else, it would have been a quick press of his lips against hers before he was thanking her for her contribution and waving her off.

But she wasn't anyone else and he couldn't bring himself to act as if she was.

So when his lips press against hers, it's still soft, still gentle, but there's a spark behind it that the other hadn't carried. Something deeper that caused the seconds to drag on seemingly forever until he was pulling away, smile firmly in place across his features.
