The Size Difference/Size Kink Meme

The Size Difference/Size Kink Meme
Size kink is a kink or preference for a distinct difference in size, height, musculature or weight between two sexual partners.

It isn't too unusual for two people in a relationship to be of different sizes, be it height or weight or anything else of that nature; after all, it'd probably be more strange to see two people together with the exact same "specs," so to speak. What are the odds? Still, the difference isn't always pronounced.

Except, sometimes, when it is.

Some people find the difference cute or charming, while others are not such big fans. Whatever the case may be, there are benefits and drawbacks, all the same.

This meme is for playing out everything that comes with being in a relationship where one party is a different size than the other. All configurations are welcome!

How to Play
  • Comment with your character and your preferences. It will also probably be beneficial for you to include information about your character's size for those who aren't familiar with your canon (ie, saying "big" or "small" or "tall" or "short" in the subject line, then extrapolating in the comment). Remember, though, there may always be someone bigger or smaller!
  • Comment to others.
  • Use the RNG to determine prompts or just go with the flow.

Prompts
  1. Cute: The difference between you and your partner is adorable and fluffy, complete with big spoon and little spoon cuddling, carrying, and head patting.
  2. Awkward: In some couplings, especially in heterosexual ones, there is an unfair expectation for one party to be taller than the other. When it's the reverse, you can sometimes get stares and cruel comments. But don't let that get you down.
  3. Inadequate: Because of your size, you feel embarrassed and afraid that the person you love might not love you.
  4. Don't Want to Hurt You: If the size difference is great, there can be a fear on the part of the bigger half of the couple that they might hurt the smaller half - especially in sex. How can you work around this problem?
  5. Weight: Your size difference is in weight, not height.
  6. Not What You Expect: In fiction and pop culture, the bigger partner is usually the dominant one. What if that's not the case in this pairing, though?
  7. HUGE Difference: It's not just a foot or so difference; it's YARDS. One of you is really big and the other is tiny. No matter what, the way you care for each other is giant.
  8. Aren't You Too Young?: The smaller partners can get confused for kids next to their bigger lovers, and that can be embarrassing. You want to prove to your partner that they need not worry about what other people say - you're sexy and very much not a kid (unless you are, I suppose).
  9. Benefits: Having a size difference in your relationship isn't all downsides. There are perks to having a partner who can pick you up, carry you, press you against the wall...basically, this is the hot size difference sex option.
  10. WILD CARD

Keith just snorts at that, letting it drift past as the largely-meaningless chatter it is. He would indulge Shiro in it, but there's... other stuff on his mind.

"You know I'm not actually made of glass, right?"

-is probably a bad way to start this conversation, but if there's a good way, then Keith has no idea what it is. He's never been great at sensitive conversations, especially when he's already let the subject matter bubble up and boil over to the point where he has to say something. The fact that he's also kind of mad at himself for not being able to just shut up and let Shiro do what he's comfortable with doesn't help, either.

Shiro couldn't exactly say he was surprised by Keith's question (it was so very Keith), but it still came as something as a shock, given the situation. Neither of them had really taken the time out to discuss things of that nature ever since finding one another again; there really hadn't been a chance to. Shiro was happy to keep that out of his mind for as long as possible, happy to focus on keeping himself together not only for Keith's sake, but his own, and for the sake of the Paladins as a whole. This was more than just a misunderstanding that they might have bad back at the Garrison. This was... something different.

And Keith had every right to point it out.

Sighing swiftly, Shiro willed himself to remain as collected as possible, despite the gnawing anxiety that took residence in his chest. He gave a brisk nod, placing his hand a little more firmly on Keith's shoulder. "I know. Sorry."

A part of him wants to say it's okay because he really doesn't actually want to upset Shiro. But it's not really okay, and saying it is won't help much of anything. Shiro might change the way he touches Keith, but it'd just be because Keith asked him to.

He huffs out a breath and asks, instead, "Is that... something you're worried about? Hurting me?"

He can, on occasion, be perceptive. Especially when it comes to Shiro.

Shiro couldn't hold his gaze on Keith for very long; it was one of the many things about himself that he hated. Keeping eye contact for too long only made him feel worse. The questions stung deeply, deeply enough to where Shiro visibly grimaced. He remembered those nightmares, waking up in a cold sweat, swearing he could still feel the blood on his hands. Most of the time, it was the blood of those he slaughtered while in the Galra's hands, but every so often, it was Keith's blood.

He swallowed. Despite his discomfort, he had to stay strong, for both of them.

"I'd be lying if I said that the risk doesn't scare me."

He wants to just say I know you won't hurt me and leave it at that, but it's not quite that simple. He trusts Shiro and knows he wouldn't ever hurt Keith intentionally, not if he was in his right mind - but sometimes Shiro isn't exactly in his right mind.

"Takashi..." He can't just say I trust you not to hurt me because it's not really about whether Keith trusts him or not, is it? It's Shiro that doesn't trust himself. Instead, he twists around a little so he can more easily kiss Shiro.

"You're not going to hurt me," he says afterwards, firmly, because maybe it won't help much but he has to say it anyway.

Shiro couldn't justify shoving that very real fear on the back-burner, no matter how slim of a chance it might have been to actually coming to fruition. Shiro was getting better at controlling himself, but it wasn't a perfect science. Even if the odds were in their favor, there would always be that 1% chance, hovering over Shiro and making him worry.

He blinked back into focus as Keith shifted in his arms, the feeling of his lips brushing against his own taking him by surprise. He looked down at Keith, slightly embarrassed, but the feeling was fleeting. Keith trusted him so intensely, it was humbling and perhaps even a little scary. That trust could be his downfall.

Still, he couldn't bring himself to rain down on Keith's confidence. Taking a deep breath, he put on a small smile; nothing strong or overly confident, but just enough. His voice carried over his gratitude, and his arms coiled just a little tighter. A start, albeit a tentative one. "Thank you, Keith."
