Size kink is a kink or preference for a distinct difference in size, height, musculature or weight between two sexual partners. It isn't too unusual for two people in a relationship to be of different sizes, be it height or weight or anything else of that nature; after all, it'd probably be more strange to see two people together with the exact same "specs," so to speak. What are the odds? Still, the difference isn't always pronounced.
Except, sometimes, when it is.
Some people find the difference cute or charming, while others are not such big fans. Whatever the case may be, there are benefits and drawbacks, all the same.
This meme is for playing out everything that comes with being in a relationship where one party is a different size than the other. All configurations are welcome!
How to Play- Comment with your character and your preferences. It will also probably be beneficial for you to include information about your character's size for those who aren't familiar with your canon (ie, saying "big" or "small" or "tall" or "short" in the subject line, then extrapolating in the comment). Remember, though, there may always be someone bigger or smaller!
- Comment to others.
- Use the RNG to determine prompts or just go with the flow.
Prompts- Cute: The difference between you and your partner is adorable and fluffy, complete with big spoon and little spoon cuddling, carrying, and head patting.
- Awkward: In some couplings, especially in heterosexual ones, there is an unfair expectation for one party to be taller than the other. When it's the reverse, you can sometimes get stares and cruel comments. But don't let that get you down.
- Inadequate: Because of your size, you feel embarrassed and afraid that the person you love might not love you.
- Don't Want to Hurt You: If the size difference is great, there can be a fear on the part of the bigger half of the couple that they might hurt the smaller half - especially in sex. How can you work around this problem?
- Weight: Your size difference is in weight, not height.
- Not What You Expect: In fiction and pop culture, the bigger partner is usually the dominant one. What if that's not the case in this pairing, though?
- HUGE Difference: It's not just a foot or so difference; it's YARDS. One of you is really big and the other is tiny. No matter what, the way you care for each other is giant.
- Aren't You Too Young?: The smaller partners can get confused for kids next to their bigger lovers, and that can be embarrassing. You want to prove to your partner that they need not worry about what other people say - you're sexy and very much not a kid (unless you are, I suppose).
- Benefits: Having a size difference in your relationship isn't all downsides. There are perks to having a partner who can pick you up, carry you, press you against the wall...basically, this is the hot size difference sex option.

As a result, he was overly cautious around him. Touches were tender, restrained, careful. They likely came off as patronizing some days, like Shiro didn't think Keith was strong enough to withstand his presence. That wasn't the whole truth, though he did worry about hurting Keith unintentionally more often than not. One of the many vivid nightmares he'd suffered through ever since they found each other again.
Shiro had been the driving force in their relationship beforehand, but now it was as though he'd taken a backseat. Not for a lack of affection or feelings, but playing it safe made it easier for him to get through the days. The last thing he needed was to find a new reason to hate himself.
He was used to Keith sitting close to him, but it typically remained just that: sitting close. Shiro was reluctant to do the things he used to, like scooping Keith up and holding him against his chest or curling his arms around his midsection and refusing to let him go. Things like that were a little too hands-on for him.
But Keith was Keith. Shiro knew him better than anyone, he liked to think, and the way he slid under his arm like a cat was all but expected. Still, it managed to surprise Shiro enough to where he gasped softly, his arm lifting a little to reposition itself against Keith's body. He blinked and stared down at him, a sort of nervous smile reaching his lips.
"What, are you too good for your bed now?" he asked, teasingly. It was easier to mask his uncertainty by feigning that tone he used to use with him, back before everything came crashing down on them both.
yep yep wields tact like a finely-honed blade right here.
"You know I'm not actually made of glass, right?"
-is probably a bad way to start this conversation, but if there's a good way, then Keith has no idea what it is. He's never been great at sensitive conversations, especially when he's already let the subject matter bubble up and boil over to the point where he has to say something. The fact that he's also kind of mad at himself for not being able to just shut up and let Shiro do what he's comfortable with doesn't help, either.
bless him
And Keith had every right to point it out.
Sighing swiftly, Shiro willed himself to remain as collected as possible, despite the gnawing anxiety that took residence in his chest. He gave a brisk nod, placing his hand a little more firmly on Keith's shoulder. "I know. Sorry."
he tries
He huffs out a breath and asks, instead, "Is that... something you're worried about? Hurting me?"
He can, on occasion, be perceptive. Especially when it comes to Shiro.
so does shiro (ALSO I RLY MISS NOTIFS AUGH)
He swallowed. Despite his discomfort, he had to stay strong, for both of them.
"I'd be lying if I said that the risk doesn't scare me."
when will notifs come home from the war /stares into the distance
"Takashi..." He can't just say I trust you not to hurt me because it's not really about whether Keith trusts him or not, is it? It's Shiro that doesn't trust himself. Instead, he twists around a little so he can more easily kiss Shiro.
"You're not going to hurt me," he says afterwards, firmly, because maybe it won't help much but he has to say it anyway.
apparently not soon enough WHOOPS
He blinked back into focus as Keith shifted in his arms, the feeling of his lips brushing against his own taking him by surprise. He looked down at Keith, slightly embarrassed, but the feeling was fleeting. Keith trusted him so intensely, it was humbling and perhaps even a little scary. That trust could be his downfall.
Still, he couldn't bring himself to rain down on Keith's confidence. Taking a deep breath, he put on a small smile; nothing strong or overly confident, but just enough. His voice carried over his gratitude, and his arms coiled just a little tighter. A start, albeit a tentative one. "Thank you, Keith."
