Really pretty.

[She whispers the word, smiling at the sight of her reflection. She wonders if Mike will say the same thing, but doesn't dare ask Nancy if she thinks her brother will. Something about doing that feels wrong, like Mike might yell if she does. So she nods an answer to Nancy's question, because she's so taken with what she sees in the mirror. Grateful for Nancy's help, she reaches up to touch at the other girl's arm, before hurrying out of the room to head down to the party.

She only makes it about two seconds before turning back, so she can take hold of Nancy's hand and drag her along after her. She's eager to see the dancing and hear the music. ]

Does Mike like party?

[She pauses, since she's socializing enough now to realize some of the things she says are wrong. So she corrects herself.]

[It’s so cute the way El and her brother seem to like each other so much. Nancy can’t help but wonder if the two of them realize that the feeling they have for each other is mutual. She wonders if it’s meddling to play matchmaker for a sibling, but she’s snapped back to reality when El asks her a question.]

He likes parties when his friends are around.

[She smiles. Mike always felt kind of awkward at their family’s parties, but then again so did Nancy. Nobody liked those things.]

[It’s nice, she thinks. Mike’s never wanted for friends. He has a tight group that’s always around. It’s nice to see him hanging out with a girl for a change, though.]
