Welcome to My World!

It's a whole new world!  And how lucky, you've got a friend(?) who has the responsibility of helping you live through it.  Are you a Super Saiyan getting used to the idea of demons in feudal Japan?  Or maybe you're an angel who's making friends with a pretty sweet alien.  Maybe you just come from an alternate version of earth and need a local to help you overcome culture shock.  Thank goodness you're not alone!

Here's how it works:
1. Leave a post. You will be the guide to any new arrivals to your world!
2. Comment to posts. You are stuck in the world belonging to the person you've tagged. (i.e., if you tag Naruto, you'll be in his world with him as your guide)
3. SHENANIGANS.  Thread out any scenario! Maybe various scenarios!  Write an epilogue when you're done or something. Use this meme to launch a million AUs for the musebox.  DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE.

[his eyes narrow a bit at her way of talking but it's because he's trying to catch whatever he missed the first time she said it.

Yeah. Still nothing.

Though she might have been hit when she got knocked over if she's suddenly talking funny. A hand on her head to check for bumps.]

Never heard of it. Is it a part of Junon?

Obviously! XD I'm giggling at these two so much.

[Junon... Juuban... No, not similar except very slightly. She's not sure she's ever heard of Junon, which doesn't mean much with her grades in geography, but at least it's probably not anywhere nearby. It's definitely not here.]

I don't think so. Where's Junon?

another quick glance around but the sky's not purple and the people don't look like fish. Considering Junon's one of the only really large cities left in the world though...

Junon's the second largest city on the Eastern Continent. [maybe a little more prodding to jog her memory] On the coast. Right across from Costa del Sol.

[Usagi shakes her head left, then right.]

Never heard of that, either. [Ami would be weeping by now, who could locate the Costa del Sol of their world on the map.]

[strangely, this is not the most confusing thing Cloud's ever run into. Not by any stretch of the imagination. So he's going to just roll with it. Absolute strangers with useful information is kind of a thing for him. let's try this from a different angle.]

Which continent are we on?

[buntails]

[Oh, she knows this one!]

We're in Asia! [Wait. Now she's looking worried.] Are you sure you're alright? I mean... that's pretty big not to know! Do you need to go to the hospital?

[and there goes another brief eye narrowing because he's never even heard of Asia and he's been all over the Planet thanks to madmen scavenger hunts. A hand to rub over the top of his head but he doesn't feel any lumps and he'd remember if he'd hit it anyway.

Right?

As crazy goes, this isn't his usual style.]

So if I say Midgar, Rocket Town and Wutai - you're not going to know what I'm talking about?

[buntails]

[The blank face says a lot.]

I've never heard of any of those. Um, are you really sure about coming from there, in that case?

[She smiles somewhat sheepishly.] But I'm not that good at geography, either... Where are they?

I'm from Nibelheim.

[the way he says it though is long ago and far away, a lost place. At her question though he pauses - and then shakes his head. If she doesn't even know the Eastern Continent or Wutai than anywhere on them he tries to explain anything won't make sense to her either. For the first time, it occurs to him that he's probably lost and not in the 'keep driving until you find something familiar' kind of way.

I don't think that's going to help.

What do you mean? You can't just stay lost! Your friends will be worried.

[And to judge from her expression, so is she.]

[Then she brightens.]

I know! Let's go down to the train station anyway. You might recognize the right stops, or someone might be able to help find a schedule.

[findmyownreason]

[judging from the time of day, he thinks he's got a bit of time before dinner. That's when Tifa will start to worry. The thought of her makes him pull out his cell phone but the push of the auto-dial that pulls up the only number actually used on his phone comes up with a dead signal. No connection. Somehow he's not surprised.

The suggestion about the train station is a good one though. He's pretty sure it won't be familiar but he's had good luck with train stations and being found when he was lost in the past. It can't hurt to try it again. A nod and a quiet hum of agreement.]

Okay.

[buntails]

[Without really thinking about it, Usagi tugs at Cloud's arm to pull him along.]

Don't worry! We won't leave it like this. We'll find your home, ok?

[Usagi, you are not comforting a lost child. He's a grown man older than you.]

[Cloud's a bit funny about touch, especially from strangers, but there's something completely nonthreatening about the girl tugging on his arm at the moment and it's actually reassuring. So he'll be careful not to shake off her grip as he follows her pulling. And speaking of being missed:]

Did you have somewhere you were going before the monster showed up?

[buntails]

[Whoops! Dead stop.

Nah, just kidding. She laughs that awkward, too-loud laugh again.]

No one would expect me on time anyway.

[findmyownreason]

[funny. None of his friends ever expect him to be on time either.

Tifa's been drilling him on this though and so it actually occurs to him to say:]

Should you call them and tell them?

[buntails]

[She's got the wrist communicator, but otherwise she needs a phone booth. Which... seem to be in short supply along this road. Eh. Go with it.]

It'll be fine. I'll explain later! I can't just leave you if you're lost!

[findmyownreason]

[he doesn't want to make her miss meeting her friends but he IS lost apparently and he's got a pretty good track record with helpful strangers (even if some of them have in the past been a bit TOO helpful). So there's a chin dip of a nod and a soft sound.]

[looking around he has to ask:]

Are there other Districts that have monster problems?

[buntails]

[She's quieter when she answers.]

That seems to be a problem right in this area most of all.

[findmyownreason]

[the logical question for him is:]

You've got a mako rector in the area?

[buntails]

[Going way over her head there, Cloud.]

A what? [Reactor... nuclear?]

[findmyownreason]

[he's going to take that as a 'no'. A look around at the busy city and he asks:]

You don't use mako energy anymore. But you did before Meteor right? Big city, monsters, I just though a mako reactor made sense.

[buntails]

We use electricity. [Yeeeah. She might not be the best one to ask about things.]

What's mako? [She really has a feeling he doesn't mean Makoto.]

[oh.

yeah.

he's lost all right.

Because everyone on the Planet knows what mako is and if they don't, it's not because they live in a huge city that would have used its power up until recently. Still, he's not panicked. He's had a lot of strange things that don't make sense dropped into his lap and he's gotten good at kind of rolling with it until they do start to make sense.

Sometimes he rolls with it too well in fact.

Besides, maybe he just needs to wake up.]

Mako energy. The Shinra Electric Power Company used to use their rectors to pull the life essence of the Planet out and convert it to power.

[buntails]

[She's starting to wonder if he hit his head. Not in the teasing way one of her friends might say it when she has a ditz moment, but because... this is really kind of frightening that he's making no sense!

And then he gets even scarier. Pull the life out of the planet? It sounds like some Dark Kingdom energy plot.]

But wouldn't that hurt it?
