MINOR INJURIES MEME

You or your meme partner has been hurt, but don't worry! This time around it's not that bad. You can still limp your way out of this mess.
INJURIES.
1. Sprain/strain. How did you screw up walking?
2. Broken bones. Simple fractures still hurt.
3. Cuts. Hopefully one of you has a sewing kit.
4. Burns. Location, location, location. Let's pray this one isn't on your ass.
5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.
6. Other. I'm not a doctor.
HOW'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Stupidity. You did this to yourself.
2. Accident. Is an unintentional attack still an attack?
3. Attack. Don't lie, you deserved it.
4. Other. It's probably still your own fault.
WHERE'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

Hey. Flying swords make me nervous. [And then his voice softens and he reaches out, wraps the fingers of his human hand around his friend's shoulder.] Just don't forget there's more to life than fighting, Keith. You forget that and you might miss something important.
[His hand slips back to rest over his own stomach and he snorts another noise.]
What are you talking about? I can run rings around you, hot shot. [He lets it sit for a beat and then, lips hooking into a crooked grin, he adds:] Just not right now.
no subject
He laughs a little.]
Are you sure you mean run or roll? Because I'm under the impression you can't get up. [He looks at the other.] I relent anyways. I can't get up myself.

[The last word grinds a little but he uses it intentionally. Because he's been down that road, where it was better to fight and only fight and only live for the fighting because everything else was either too overwhelming or heart breaking or horrifying to face. He says what he does because he knows. He may not remember much - but he remembers enough to know that.
And then he smiles and huffs a noise and reaches over again but its to lightly nudge his knuckles against the younger man's arm.]
I do an impressive barrel roll, I'll have you know. [A grin and his eyes laugh as he turns his head to look at his friend.] But yeah, maybe a truce is in order. We're going to be in enough trouble as is if the princess finds out about this.
no subject
He doesn't know how to ask for help very much either.]
You'll have to show us sometime. [For now he won't think about it. Or at least let it sit in his mind.] Maybe we could add barrel rolls to our skillset.
If you say her name three times, she'll appear. [He finally manages to sit up, though his body protests when he does.]

What it is, Shiro doesn't know. But he believes completely that it will come. Every man has to find his core for himself. Shiro can point in a general direction but he doesn't know any more than Keith does what it is that the other pilot needs. That's something personal and something that Keith has to walk through his own fire to find himself. It won't be easy. It never could be for someone like Keith. But its vitally important. And only Keith can find it for himself. He will. It will just take time.
Aaaaand then the kid sits up and Shiro knows that means he's going to have to as well. Crap.
It's a strain and the muscles in his stomach protest but he manages it with only a minor groan, folding his arms over his now crossed legs.]
I'd rather not risk it. She's scary when she's angry. [Which is nothing but admiration coming from him.]
no subject
He rests his arms and chin on his knees.]
You scared of Allura? I mean, Alteans have some crazy training systems in place, but I wouldn't think you'd call her scary. [He's mostly teasing, but he has only mostly seen a gentler side of Allura. Not the "I picked up Shiro and threw him" side of her. She did sick the Castle offenses on them when they were trying to form Voltron. That was kinda cruel.]
So, are you thinking about how big this thing is and how far our rooms from here or is that just me.

And in the meantime, Shiro hums out a short sound at the pat. He doesn't get touched much and the easy familiarity is nice. The hum comes back and turns into a short laugh at the question though. Having been directly involved in the whole 'throw Shiro bodily into a transport' he has a whole new respect for their reigning Altean. And that's on top of her introduction when she locked Lance in a hold using his ear. Keith's summary has him smiling. He doesn't know her that well but he suspects Allura might appreciate Keith not finding her intimidating.
Just - heaven help him if Keith ever got into a spar with her with that attitude.]
There's nothing wrong with a scary woman. [Shiro actually found it a flattering trait. Even if he was in no hurry to end up on the wrong side of it. Which had him adding:] As long as she doesn't find out about this.
[And then he exhaled and shook his head, shifting to lean back on his hands.] I might have been wondering how many of those floating plates it would take it haul me back to my room, yeah.

I don't think she'd like to be considered scary. Alteans are supposed to be welcoming and avoid physical conflict. Seek peace first before raising hands. [He remembers her refusal of him to raise his hand on the unknown creatures that inhabited the land before they left.] Scary doesn't make a good trait when you're extending your hand for peace.
She'd kick our already sore butts if she finds out about this. I, for one, am fine with not being doubly sore and keeping this a secret.
[He snickers a bit.] I don't think floating plates are going to save you here.

He has to smile at Keith's view of Allura. Its not as if his friend is wrong. For someone utterly bent on the destruction of the Galra empire, the princess has a very diplomatic and gentle touch with everyone else. Which isn't to say that Shiro thinks his summary of her is wrong either. In fact, they're both right about her to Shiro's mind. But to Shiro, you can be gentle and good and yet dangerous at the same time. He doesn't have a problem with the dichotomy.
Maybe Keith is right though. Maybe Shiro should.
They can both agree whole-heartedly however that not sharing this last training session with her is a good idea and Shiro snorts out a laugh, finally starting the process of struggling to his feet, offering a hand to his friend.]
It'll be our secret. Come on. If the floating plates aren't going to help us we're going to have to do this ourselves.
no subject
He takes Shiro's hand, although he wonders if either of them can really help each other up when they can barely help themselves.]
I don't know how well kept of a secret it's going to be if we have to be marginally functional later. Bed has never sounded so good right now. I swear I can sleep anywhere with how tired I am.
no subject
That and he figures if they both lean back at least one of them is going to get pulled forward and maybe manage to get their feet under them. Which is what he offers physically as he tries to rock himself to his feet. But Keith's words earn a little huff of amusement out of him - and its only a little self-depreciating.
Shiro doesn't sleep much and when he does it usually isn't very deep or restful. But - after this?]
Yeah. Me too. Thanks for that.
no subject
It's no problem. Kind of was nicer than just training by myself with the training droids.
[He doesn't expect the others to train at the extent he usually does. Keith also knew that he was more of the loner type among the group.] I enjoyed it. Made me more aware of what's around me. [It was different having to only think about his own back. Instead, having to make sure to assist someone help and getting used to having someone have his back, was a much different experience.]
getting to a good wrap up point?
And it was all worth it. So he means it as he offers a shoulder and starts to hobble out of the training room.]
Hit me up next time you want a training buddy. [A grunt.] Just - not tomorrow, okay?
Yeh. All good bud! o9
A rare laugh.]
What? You mean you aren't ready to do this tomorrow? You really are getting old.
[There's no way he can do this again tomorrow, but let him have his fun.]
