Under the Sea AU Meme

Whether it’s the little mermaid or 20,000 leagues, this meme is all about the mysterious depths of the sea and the creatures that live in it. Which now very well may include you. Are you a marine biologist, a submarine explorer, or a creature of the dark and murky abyss? Perhaps, like Ahab, you’ve spent years on the waves, hunting some creature that lurks beneath. Perhaps you live in a house by the sea, and every night you watch the waves, but tonight the waves have dragged in something new and different.

There are unknown realms beneath the sea. Dread Cthulhu sleeps. Ariel sings. And adventure is awaiting.

How to play:
- Post with your character’s preferred role and a prompt or two, along with preferences and any canon or AU info that might be important.
- Venture forth into the watery deeps.

[A bright light shone in beneath the rock he were sleeping under. Instinctively Snow wrapped his tentacles around him to shield him from the light and help to hide from whatever had caused it. Carefully looking out from his hiding spot he saw some strange thing pass by. What even was that?

Sparing a few seconds to think about what to do, he decided to follow the thing whatever it might be. First he followed it from a distance, keeping himself close to rocks he could hide behind if he would have to. After a while however he got more curious and wanted to see what the thing were up close. It did not move fast so he could with ease catch up to it and attach his suction cups to the strange thing. It felt strange as well. Not like rock or coral and certainly not like sand.]

[Jeile loved his home under the waves very much, but he could not help his curious nature that constantly brought him to the surface. He had of course been told ever since a kid about the dangers of the surface world, but it fascinated him and he could not keep away.

One of the things he liked to do the most when visiting the surface was to sing. He liked how his voice sounded over the surface. He had even found himself a nice screened of lagoon where he could sing undisturbed. He had not seen signs of anything or anyone in that place besides birds. In other words safe to visit.

This day he decided to visit his usual spot, pulling himself partway up on the beach, but made sure that his tail remained in the water, the sun glimmering against his colourful scales. First he just looked at the sky and the seagulls flying high up in the air. Then he softly started to a melody that soon bloomed out into a song about the sea and its beauty.]
