And when I think about you...

We all masturbate, it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's also something most prefer to keep private. But sometimes, people forget to knock while we're in the middle of things, and awkwardness ensues.

* Post with your character's name and fandom in the subject line
* Others reply, stumbling in on you.
* You pick a reaction from the list below. (Or roll 1-10!)
* PROFIT!

REACTIONS:

EMBARRASSMENT Yeah, someone just caught you in a very private act and you kind of wish the ground would swallow you up. Now.

ANGER How dare someone barge in on you without knocking! You'll give them a piece of your mind right now.

EXCITEMENT/EXHIBITIONISM happens to be a major turn-on for you, so you'll just continue. Maybe even ask them to give you a hand, you never know...

APATHY Big deal, it's not like they've been living in a bubble where they never knew masturbation existed, and if they were they had to find out about it sometime.

SQUICK Either it was a family member who just walked in on you or you just feel so utterly dirty at having been caught doing something so personal.

DELAYED reaction You didn't even notice they were there until after you finished.

DERAILED REACTION Oh no you've been--what is that on their head? Wait, the world's ending now? D-did you just see that unicorn? Worry about being caught later, figure out what the hell is going on first.

FRUSTRATION COME ON, EVERY TIME!

RELIEF Thank GOODNESS someone came by! Otherwise you'd have had to stop and go grab that toy/pillow/remote for the annoying stereo yourself. Also they could maybe swap discs because this movie isn't really doing it for you. What do you mean it's inappropriate? It's not like you're asking them to watch.

WILDCARD! You know the rules!

The wildlife wasn't the only thing startled by the outburst. Alistair jumped, staring at Davy uncertainly as he drew back. He'd been afraid that the apostate would choose to do just that and he wouldn't be able to stop Davy from abandoning him. Them. The last thing Alistair had expected to hear was that he wanted to stay, a fact that seemed just as unexpected for Davy himself.

Despite his relief at the news, his voice was quiet when he spoke. "I don't want you to go either." Stepping forward Alistair reached out slowly towards Davy's shoulder, giving him a chance to pull away if he wanted. "I like having you around. And I'd miss you if you weren't here." Pulling away he took several steps back, giving Davy some space as he continued to watch the apostate quietly.

"I shouldn't have- I should have handled things better. It was my fault too. And I'm sorry for- For making you feel like I think you're some kind of monster." Which still stung but if Davy was staying maybe they could find a way to work through it.

For a moment, Davy let his body settle into the grip on his shoulders, so much so that he stumbled some when Alistair pulled away. What was this that made him feel so weak? That made his body ache and sweetly so at the same time?

"I suppose I never helped matters..." Davy's mouth quirked. "I've never actually devoured someone before, and I don't plan on ever doing it either." Maybe that didn't need saying, but he felt it did. He'd hoped that maybe he could get Alistair to stop distrusting him if he joked, but it seemed that it had only reinforced some of the walls between them. He spread his fingers at his sides; Davy wasn't going anywhere, including this spot.

"If it can be a peace offering, I'd be willing to distract the others or keep watch when you need a private moment. I know those are few and far between with our group." Yes, Davy was rather bluntly saying he'd keep watch for Alistair while he went off to jerk one out in the woods. The centuries had made his mind run a little differently. Or maybe this was one last attempt at a joke.

Well that was something. Not that he'd been convinced that Davy intended to eat him. Not that Alistair had been convinced he wouldn't. He'd always liked blood-curdling campfire stories growing up and there were more than a few about Davy out there. So the reassurance wasn't unwelcome.

...The peace offering less so.

Alistair coughed. "I, ah-" He stared at Davy, face turning red as he tried to determine if the apostate was making a serious offer or joking. Or maybe a bit of both. "...I think I'll be fine. Thanks." If it were a serious offer he'd be too embarrassed just thinking about it to ever take Davy up on it. If it were a joke though-

He smiled hopefully. "Unless you're willing to distract them all next time I decide to take a bath. I swear they go out of their way to interrupt every single time. It's like they're competing." An exaggeration - though not enough of one he'd say - but maybe also enough of a shared joke to smooth things over either way. If Davy was honestly offering Alistair didn't want to ruin the tentative peace they'd made by upsetting him again.

Davy continued to smirk faintly at Alistair, his eyes open and earnest as he watched the Warden react to his offer. Maybe he hadn't relented entirely from the teasing, but he had learned not to keep it up at least. He shrugged at the counteroffer.

"I suppose I could manage that, if it grants me a chance to peak at you bathing." Davy's smirk grew more into a grin, perhaps a bit more on the wolfish side. He kept his distance, however, just letting things stay in this in-between realm of jest and truth. Davy wouldn't have minded the chance to see Alistair in a more vulnerable context again; he was a very handsome man, and that was saying something from a man with 500 years under his belt.

"But only if you were interested, I suppose." He added, waving a hand.

Alistair chuckled nervously. The way Davy was looking at him... It reminded him of what the apostate had said before, that now - without the wish that the ground would open up and swallow him whole serving as a distraction- set his stomach to fluttering in a not-unpleasant way. He wasn't sure if it was entirely a joke or not. Or what he'd do if it wasn't.

Flushing he cleared his throat, trying and failing to sound nonchalant as he nodded and said, "Heh. Sure, why not? Peek away. We can get right past this awkward, embarrassing stage and move on to the fun parts."

That was convincing, right?

Davy huffed softly in amusement and shook his head. What twist of fate had bound the two of them together? He started to walk in Alistair's direction and back toward the camp, but he paused once he was close enough to put a hand to the Warden's shoulder.

"Ask me tomorrow, if you really want me guarding you while you bathe." Davy turned and leaned in just to let his lips ghost over the Warden's ear.

"We'll see if I can keep you entertained then."

Surprise flashed across his face at the contact, all his attention drawn to the warmth of Davy's hand against him, soothing and thrilling at the same time.

Alistair froze as Davy leaned in, heart pounding so loudly at the brush of his lips that he could barely make out the words. He couldn't even muster a response at first, mouth open but no sound coming out. All he could do was shiver.

Finally he managed to dredge up an answer, voice hoarse and cheeks red. "Oh... I- I'll remember that." Even if he definitely wouldn't be asking for such a thing tomorrow. No matter how intriguing the idea of 'entertainment' was.

As easily as Davy slipped in, he pulled away, his hand dropping from Alistair's shoulder.

"We should head back before our leader starts complaining about my being late for my watch." He hesitated for a moment and turned to give Alistair one more look; he decided to test this new stage of things, holding out a hand to the Warden.

"Shall we, my prince?"

( ooc; Good place to wrap up? )

It was easier to breathe once Davy pulled away but Alistair found himself missing the contact immediately. Which made about as much sense as the rest of the conversation.

He was expecting the apostate to just walk off and instead wound up blinking in surprise again, glancing between Davy's face and his outstretched hand. Finally he smiled and took the offer, squeezing briefly as he nodded.

"Let's go, captain."

(OOC: Yup, seems good to me!)
