The "What Are You In For?" Meme

Somebody's in trouble! You've pissed off the authorities somehow - only you know what you did to get in this pickle, maybe you're even innocent! - but for now you're caught, and stuck waiting to hear what's in store for you. Luckily you have company...
HOW TO PLAY
1) Go post with your character and list their Name/Canon/Preferences.
2) Grab a d6 or an RNG an roll for (or simply choose) one of the Authorities below to work with.
3) Go tag others! You can be partners in crime, strangers in trouble, or anything in between, and if you're stuck for an ice-breaker you can start the conversation by asking "So, what are you in for?".
4) Make friends, make enemies, take your lumps or escape your punishment! You decide!
THE AUTHORITIES
1) POLICE - You're in holding at the police station. Anything you could be arrested for goes! Perhaps you were drunk and disorderly, streaked at a sports game, started a fight, stole something, picked endangered flowers, hell maybe you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but whatever you did you're now stuck in a cell with some other troublemakers, so play nice!
2) MALL COPS - You started a food fight in the food court, shoplifted, got in argument with a clerk, ran up the down escalator, fell in the fountain after trying to fish out all the good luck coins, spent your afternoon reenacting this classic list - whatever it was you're now stuck waiting in the security office while the police are summoned. It's a busy day for mall shenanigans though because you aren't alone...
4) PRINCIPAL or BOSS'S OFFICE - If your muse is school-aged you're in crap with the head honcho! Perhaps you dodged class, were caught fighting or committing vandalism, mouthed off to a teacher, blew up part of the science lab? If your muse is a grownup they're in hot water at work! Missed a deadline or a meeting, messed up a task or upset a customer, got caught racing chairs instead of filing, were reported for misconduct involving the copy machine! Whatever it is you've got company while you await your fate...
5) AIRPORT / CUSTOMS - Did you really think you could get on a plane with all that stuff in your bag? All the explosives, the weapons, the foreign flora and fauna, the knitting needles, that whole BOTTLE of shampoo!? Obviously you got caught, obviously all your stuff is now being searched, but at least someone else is there to make small talk with while you wait...
6) WILDCARD - Your choice of the scenarios above or make up your own! As long as you are in trouble and killing time you're set!

[She may not have been on the receiving end of much flirting, but she's been in enough pubs to be familiar with it.]
If I was a man, you wouldn't be invitin' me to your kingdom so easily.
no subject
[Shameless as it may have been perceived, it was true. He couldn't deny it if he wanted to: simply put, Edgar vastly preferred the company of women over men.]
But if you want me to stop, I'll stop.
[Well, it would be quite difficult, especially since they were to spend the next several hours alone and in a confined space smaller than his closet. He'd make the effort, though.]
no subject
[Faris finally moved the cloth away from her face, resting her hand in her lap. Enough talk about her secret-]
For bein' royalty you're not too bad.
[Wait, that sounded like she was the one doing the flirting,]
At acting like a rogue, I mean.
no subject
[He did believe it was -- and yes, it sounded like flirting to him. Which Edgar would happily take. Smirking, he leaned his head forward.]
And from the master, no less. My heart is a-flutter.
[Okay, okay, he did just say he'd curtail the flirting. In his defense, Faris made it so hard to stop.]
no subject
What'd I say about flirtin'?
[She huffed, busying herself with fiddling with the pendant around her neck.]
Don't let it go to your head.
no subject
[That was the closest thing to a verbal promise she'd get from him. One last chuckle escaped him before Edgar cleared his throat with the conviction that he was going to never flirt with Faris again.
He made it about three seconds before he burst into an undignified fit of snickers again.]
no subject
What'n the hell are you laughing at?
no subject
N-Nothing! Nothing at all!
[Even he was not sure what had amused him so. Maybe it was the request, or the fumes from the jail, or her expression; or a combination of all three. Who really knew. All Edgar knew was this was the most he'd laughed since three statues moved and the world turned in on itself out of shock.]
no subject
So! Whattya say we get out of here?
no subject
I beg your pardon?
[A jailbreak didn't strike Edgar as prudent. The last thing he wanted was for the authorities to go on the hunt for him while he was so close to that damn cave...
Of course, the sooner he left, the sooner he could arrive.]
no subject
You wanna be stuck in here all night? Don't you have a castle to go find?
[Approaching the door, she peaked outside the little window, working on a plan in her head.]
no subject
[How Locke did this so often was beyond him. Edgar had too many worries in the world, apparently; or just couldn't shake off that nagging feeling that there was something else to do, no matter how hard he tried. Likely a byproduct of his upbringing and occupation.
He stood and idled by the door, watching her expectantly.]
I take it you've done this sort of thing before?
no subject
[Hmm, the door was pretty solid, it didn't look like they'd be able to open it from this side, so that means...]
[Suddenly she doubled over in pain, groaning loudly,]
Ah! My stomach!
no subject
[You gotta be kidding me, he thought. No way any self-respecting jail guard under his employ would fall for that.]
no subject
[Faris continued in her over-dramatic act, falling down to a knee before shooting Edgar a look that said "play along".]
no subject
Well, if you couldn't beat them...
Murmuring something along the lines of how this better work, Edgar knelt beside Faris, one arm around her shoulders as the opposite hand banged desperately on the flat side of the door.]
...! Medic! Please, someone send a medic!
[Down the hall, there was some scuffling and hurried footsteps approaching the cellblock. So far so good. He couldn't imagine what else Faris had in store. It wasn't as if she could make herself get sick.
...right?]
no subject
Yeah, you're gonna need a medic when I'm through with you!
[Of course the guards would have to be stupid to open the door for the old fake sick trick, but they weren't likely to let the prisoners start beating each other up. Sure enough, like a charm, she heard from the doorway, accompanying the jangle of keys. It was like music to her ears~]
"Hey, break it up you two!"
[1/2]
[Now that. That had been unexpected. The only thing that outweighed the utter shock of betrayal(?) was the sheer force behind the elbow that floored him. With the wind knocked out of him, Edgar crumbled to the ground in a pathetic heap, the pain coursing through him not faked and all too genuine. He barely noted the intervening guards.]
Fuh--Faris...
[2/2]
How lucky you are that the guards are here to protect you, you filthy pirate!
no subject
You're the one who's gonna need the protection, pretty boy-
[She felt, more than saw, one of the guards approaching behind her, about to pull her off of Edgar. It was time to strike. Spinning around, she released Edgar, turning her attention on the guard. A well placed punch sent him to the floor. She almost feels bad, but not too much.]
no subject
Did you have to hit me so hard? Ugh...
[A rib may have been broken. At least, it's what it felt like. Faris may not have looked it in the same way that Sabin did, but she packed a mean punch. As he groaned and felt around for any internal bleeding within, he made a mental note to never ever cross her.]
no subject
I was holding back.
[Well, not really. Not very much anyway.]
Come on, we better get out of here before anyone else decides to see what's up.
no subject
[When it didn't hurt to inhale anymore, Edgar scraped up his cape and pauldrons and quickly replaced them over his shoulders and back. The deafening silence of the entire jail didn't sit well with him but he wasn't about to let an opportunity to escape slip him by. Even if it meant dire consequences should they get caught.
Once redressed, he stepped over the sprawled guard's body and over to the main steps leading down into the cellblock. Nothing, except darkness and the shadows from barely-lit candles. The coast was as clear as it could appear.
A finger to his lips, he gestured her over. And hoped to the gods she could keep quiet.]
no subject
Where to?
no subject
[And either because he wanted to be more careful or because he was Edgar and couldn't help himself (or both), he reached behind him, took Faris by the hand, and swiftly led her up the steps. His armaments didn't betray their silent escape, thankfully, and the few guards remaining awake in the other cellblocks and offices remained blissfully unaware, even as Edgar retrieved his crossbow and their other items. Finally prepared to leave, he guided her -- still holding onto her hand -- to the northernmost hall of the jail. If he recalled correctly, just beyond it were some woods and freedom itself.
It was a dead end, with only a window placed higher than either of them stood.]
Ladies first.
[He turned to her, his fingers interlaced and palms held out for a boost.]
