The "What Are You In For?" Meme

Somebody's in trouble! You've pissed off the authorities somehow - only you know what you did to get in this pickle, maybe you're even innocent! - but for now you're caught, and stuck waiting to hear what's in store for you. Luckily you have company...

HOW TO PLAY

1) Go post with your character and list their Name/Canon/Preferences.

2) Grab a d6 or an RNG an roll for (or simply choose) one of the Authorities below to work with.

3) Go tag others! You can be partners in crime, strangers in trouble, or anything in between, and if you're stuck for an ice-breaker you can start the conversation by asking "So, what are you in for?".

4) Make friends, make enemies, take your lumps or escape your punishment! You decide!

THE AUTHORITIES

1) POLICE - You're in holding at the police station. Anything you could be arrested for goes! Perhaps you were drunk and disorderly, streaked at a sports game, started a fight, stole something, picked endangered flowers, hell maybe you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but whatever you did you're now stuck in a cell with some other troublemakers, so play nice!

2) MALL COPS - You started a food fight in the food court, shoplifted, got in argument with a clerk, ran up the down escalator, fell in the fountain after trying to fish out all the good luck coins, spent your afternoon reenacting this classic list - whatever it was you're now stuck waiting in the security office while the police are summoned. It's a busy day for mall shenanigans though because you aren't alone...

3) PARK SECURITY - Your day out at the amusement park just went sour. Maybe somebody cut in line and you had to teach them a lesson, you got lost and ended up in the backstage areas, your suit came off on the water slide and you accidentally flashed some people, the Disney park cast members didn't appreciate being invited to come in costume to your backyard orgy even though you made them a super-nice written invite and everything? You have time to kill until outside authorities come for you. Better get your story straight.

4) PRINCIPAL or BOSS'S OFFICE - If your muse is school-aged you're in crap with the head honcho! Perhaps you dodged class, were caught fighting or committing vandalism, mouthed off to a teacher, blew up part of the science lab? If your muse is a grownup they're in hot water at work! Missed a deadline or a meeting, messed up a task or upset a customer, got caught racing chairs instead of filing, were reported for misconduct involving the copy machine! Whatever it is you've got company while you await your fate...

5) AIRPORT / CUSTOMS - Did you really think you could get on a plane with all that stuff in your bag? All the explosives, the weapons, the foreign flora and fauna, the knitting needles, that whole BOTTLE of shampoo!? Obviously you got caught, obviously all your stuff is now being searched, but at least someone else is there to make small talk with while you wait...

6) WILDCARD - Your choice of the scenarios above or make up your own! As long as you are in trouble and killing time you're set!

[6. Wildcard: As it turns out, breaking laws to save the galaxy won't exempt you from sentences that you've racked up, which is exactly how this bounty hunter that usually operates outside the law ended up in Galactic Prison.

They didn't even give her a phone call. ~~Not that she had anyone to call...~~

What are you in for?

[Samus had intended this to be a relatively quiet trip to lay low for awhile. Unfortunately one bar fight later (which, by the way, was totally not her fault. She was provoked!), the authorities got the best of her and she was here.

Man, she was slipping.

She eyes her various cellmates. One in particular caught her eye. He seemed fairly young to be stuck in this place. She quirks an eyebrow at him, but says nothing.]

((Pretty much anything but 4, although 4 can happen for Harry Potter AUs))

[Well that's a question. Samus shrugs a little.] Just doing my job. Apparently they've taken some issues with my preferred methods.

[Come on, someone wants to drag him into some sort of trouble, right? He will sit here and be extremely grumpy about it. Because being grumpy is what he does.]

Wrong place, wrong time, wrong species.

[She makes a face]

I'd rather be exonerated than on the run but I am really close to thinking about just escaping.

[HOW IN THE WORLD DID THIS HAPPEN]

[Well, locked in a cell, for carrying a giant key and wiping out heartless. You'd think they'd appreciate that, but nope, that gets you thrown in the slammer and under government surveillance.

He's hand cuffed behind his back, because they found that if they did it at the front he could just easily unlock the cuffs with his keyblade. So Sora is just sitting here with a giant statue, as the sun sets.]
