He looks so sweet here, how's a girl 'sposed to resist?
He can be sweet! Sometimes! - also 1, 3, and 4
It was a little strange, but Chewie liked her almost right away, and that had been enough to soften Han towards her, her technical expertise had done the rest. It wasn't an apprenticeship, not really, though Ben was slowly but surely catching her up on the things that he'd learned, and Maz was now sending them both on missions, which was fine with him, as even though the Falcon was designed for a crew of up to six, it was still small.
Not that he was worried about that right at the moment, because for the time being, they were alone, and on their way to Hosra to meet up with a contact, and then to parts beyond to hunt down an artifact, and she had once again managed to get his legs out from under him during their spar. His hands settled lightly at her thighs, smiling up at her, "Point to you."
Underneath all of that Solo charm ...
She'd been taken by everything almost immediately - not only the Falcon, but its small crew, as well. It wasn't hero worship, not really, but she'd heard a lot about Ben's father, and although most things didn't intimidate her, he certainly did. At first, anyway, when he'd grumbled about taking on an untested stray, but she'd eventually proven her worth. It's been a learning experience, to say the least, but she's settled in admirably.
For once, they've got some time to themselves, and what better way to spend it than by sparring? She didn't always win, so Rey was celebrating this little victory while she could, grinning smugly, although she knew her smile would soon shift to something far more fond. "Yes. How should I celebrate?"
Hey now, it's *part* of the charm!
Since then, however, well, that was part of why even with only four of them the Falcon sometimes seemed far too small. Which was why he was enjoying the fact that it was just the two of them on the shuttle for the foreseeable future.
He gave a shrug at the question, hands staying right where they were, "Your point, you decide." She had been creative enough with her boons that he'd actually had to step up his game to match her, which was half the fun of sparring with her in the first place.
That is a valid point. In any case, she likes it, so :0D
They manage. Even if that meant ages worth of heated glances and sly, fleeting touches that promise at something more at a later time. It was sometimes frustrating, but they manage.
He's given her an impossible task, really, in choosing her own reward. There were so many things that she could say! She hummed thoughtfully, thinking her options through. The sparring was always fun enough, but she enjoyed these quiet moments, too. Eventually, she decided - and with a few swift motions, her loose tunic is lifted up and over her head, carelessly dropped by her side.
And Rey fixed Ben with a look that unmistakably said - "Your turn."
Well that's good, because he's not sure he could really be any differenter...
He debated for a moment longer even after that, but he grinned up at her even as he moved, arching beneath her, keeping his grasp of one thigh but letting the other hand slide up her side and around her back even as he rolled, reversing their positions and laying her back surprisingly gently and smiling down at her, one brow quirking.
It was all the warning he gave before leaning in to press a kiss to her lips, fully expecting that she'd swap their positions again, or attempt to distract him somehow.
~He's amazing, just the waaaaay he isssss
And then, before she really even had a chance to say anything, to tire of waiting and make a move of her own, because it's then that he made his own, and she found herself laughing breathlessly, suddenly looking up Ben instead of down, flushed and happy and very okay with this change of pace.
Rather than attempt to catch him off guard and regain the upper hand, Rey easily returned the kiss, content to stay right where she is, certain that he's got her exactly where he wants her, which, coincidentally, is exactly where she wanted to be, too.
He would argue that, but only a little.
His fingers had twined through her hair, hand cushioning her head from the floor, and what he said when he finally pulled away from the kiss to catch his breath was: "As much as I'm enjoying this, I vote we move somewhere more comfortable."
He'd probably enjoy debating it with her. Why does she like him again? :0P
Besides, as she's learned, she really rather liked his fingers in her hair, not pulling, just keeping her steady. "Yes", she answered, a fondness in her eyes and her smile, although she makes no move to actually ... move. "That's probably for the best. I don't particularly wish to explain any injuries we might sustain if we stay here."
He might! And it's probably because he didn't snore or drool on her or die.
He rolled easily to his feet, catching her arms as he did so to pull her up as well, it wasn't an entirely easy move, he didn't hoist her around as if she didn't weigh anything -though it was close- and he gave her a moment to actually catch up with her equilibrium again before ducking, bracing one shoulder against her middle to just hoist her up over his shoulder like a sack of grain, carrying her off to the alcove that held the bed. Or, rather, the nest of blankets and pillows that served as a bed.
All very valid reasons. Plus there was that thing when he smiled and she was like OH NO
If a person could die of embarrassment, it would come by having to explain away accidental bruising, or limping as a pulled muscle, and the less attention paid to the obvious love bites dotting her neck and arms, the better, thank you very much.
Rey should have known what was coming, and yet, the sudden change in positions, and the stomach turning feeling of being weightless completely caught her off guard. It's an undignified position he's got her in, and she huffed a small, offended little breath as they went. "Really? This was absolutely necessary?"
Not that she truly minded, she just liked to poke and prod, and he deserved it for treating her like a sack of grain. Perhaps she'd get her revenge now, or maybe later, but one this was certain - it would come.
oh yes, how dare he with the smile, how VERY dare he!
On the whole thirty foot walk from the empty cargo area where they'd been sparring to the bed. Definitely.
Honestly, for as dangerous as the missions from Maz could sometimes be, he looked forward to them even more now than he had when he was taking them on alone, mostly because he wasn't taking them on alone anymore.
rUDE
Actions, after all, spoke volumes louder than words.
No stranger to dangerous situations, Rey hadn't really even batted an eyelash at the thought of willingly taking on those sorts of risks. She could take care of herself admirably enough - but now she didn't have to. Now, she had Ben.

That said, he hooked his thumbs in the hem of the undershirt he was still wearing, just shucking it off over his head.

It's a bluff, and they both know it, especially once he removed her shirt, and she so clearly spent one long moment admiring him. "Hm. Not bad."

He shrugged, then, "At least I thought that's what we were working on here, but if you'd have more fun by yourself, I'm sure I can find something else to do with my time."

"As much as I would enjoy putting on a show for you, there are other things that I'd like to get up to right now. So, I'd really, really like it if you'd join me now. Please."

Honestly he'd be fine just as they were for a while, shirtless and sprawled in bed together. He was easy to please that way.

He knew they'd be having an entirely different kind of enjoying the moment soon enough, but he was really in no hurry to get there, not when they didn't have to hurry things.
