Some things don't need explanations. Chicken wings. Wonderful weather. Guilty pleasures like Michael Bay movies. This meme is one of those things. It's simple: one character is in another's lap, and eventually the two get hot and heavy. Whether it's a friend sitting on a lap because there's no room, couples cuddling, or a stripper giving a lap dance, one thing will lead to another...after all, the loss of personal space can certainly set actions (and more) in motion.

3. Out of Necessity: No more room on the bench, in the booth, or on the couch? There's a place on their lap.
4. Amateur Lap Dance: Just something sexy between lovers. Or maybe more silly than sexy.
5. Professional Lap Dance: Better break out the ones. This lap dance will cost you.
6. Dare: Nobody ever thought you'd get this close and personal, so they pushed you into doing it.

[This is decidedly not playing poker. Allen can maintain a pokerface throughout the shift into his lap and deliberate wiggle of her hips, but he can bluff for only so long. His hands are tense looping from under Lenalee's arms to set in front of her after making a sort pull at her thighs.

So the odds are in her favor and he's going to lose. A loss he's fine with taking because either way he's winning in the longer run of things. Setting his chin to her left shoulder and exhales tilting toward her head.]

[ Usually Lenalee was not one to indulge in such a silly challenge, but on the one hand, she was incredibly headstrong and stubborn and when one considered her feelings toward Allen himself? Well. That's what landed them in this situation. For what it's worth, she's feeling confident and the pointed wiggle of her hips has displayed that as such.

Her gaze lingered on where his hands rested on her thighs, before a smile curled her lips and she tilted her head toward him subtly. This really was strangely empowering, honestly. ]

Hmm... probably not.

[ She offered those words simply with that small smile in place, though there was a decidedly teasing tone to her words along with a subtle shift of her hips once more. ]

[ 500 years old Davy Jones might have been, but he was not blind to history - when Steve Rogers, known mainly to the world as Captain America, came into a bar known for catering to the mystical and magical crowds, he recognized the man. As did everyone else, but the subtle surge of power Davy sent through the air quickly dissuaded them from approaching; as far as they were concerned, Davy was the oldest and most powerful thing in that bar, like it or not.

What sort of world-shaking mischief was the dear Captain getting himself into now? The last few years had been filled with all sorts of amazing tales, usually centering somewhere on this man. Davy was something like a cat - curiosity often tried to be the death of him. Tried and failed.

So while everyone else went about their business and tried to ignore what was about to occur, Davy moved from his shadowed corner of the bar with quiet, quick steps and moved to drape himself across the soldier's lap in the seat he had taken. Davy was no small creature himself, but he figured the captain could take him for a little while. ]

My, my- another captain haunting this sad place. Almost makes me nostalgic for the old days. [ Davy kept his gaze examining his fingernails. ]

Are you visiting this port for a little rough trade, sir?

[World-shaking mischief? God, he hoped not. Hardly anyone bothered even glancing in his direction, not that he minded and he wasn't there for the attention, but it made this night noticeably different from the others. Usually, there was a bit more mingling going on, small talk even, and now? Nothing.

Didn't matter. He was mostly there for the drinks, anyhow. It was pretty much the main reason why Thor introduced him to the bar in the first place, because aside from the admittedly great ale from Asgard, these magically spiked drinks were just about the only stuff Steve could knock back and feel it working.

(Sometimes he wonders if Erskine would be amused by this discovery or shake his head in subtle disappointment. Considering their last moments before the procedure, Steve liked to think it'd be the former.)

Just when he had gotten used to being the assumed pariah of the place, there was a hefty weight settling down on his lap, thus, causing some of Steve's drink to go down the wrong way and--]

I. What-- [Coughing ensued. And as one hand covered his mouth, the other hovered, undecided on whether or not to lightly shove at the stranger. Who, okay, was quite a looker but horribly forward and...oh, he was saying something.]

Rough...trade? [He questioned after recovering. His brows knitted together then. That was kind of a wild thing to assume.] Who are you? And do you mind?

[ Davy fought the grin at the fact that he'd made the golden boy choke; he wondered if he could repeat that by the time the evening was done. He looked over from his hand; his face lingered close enough to generate that subtle charge of proximity, that soft magnetism that shadowed desire and could have ignited into a full blaze given the right conditions.

Right now, Davy wasn't sure if he wanted to set the match to the tinder just yet. ]

To answer your questions in order: rough trade, an interesting time, a strong drink and a good brawl? [ Davy cocked his head to the side. ]

David Jones, though Davy will do. And mind what? Certainly not this seat, because it's surprisingly comfortable. [ And, like a rather obstinate cat, Davy wiggled his hips and settled further into Steve's lap. Big men with broad shoulders and strong legs - Davy had almost forgotten what those felt like. ]
