[Another day, another Outrealm, this time on top of a large mountain. Henry heard legends about monsters, but there didn't seem to be anything like the Risen in these woods. So of course Henry asked the local flora and fauna about the situation, and learned of a place where humans disappeared and never returned, where monsters were.
The hole was fairly deep, and difficult to climb out of, if possible at all. Peering down, Henry could only see some flowers and columns. Using a curse to soften the landing, they hopped down.
Turns out there were monsters, but they weren't any more dangerous than other people. Heck, most of them were nicer! Especially when they met Toriel, large and soft and warm. She must have smelled the blood from a previous battle on Henry, on their clothes, but she still took them in, gave them a room and food and kindness.
Day by day, Henry found their desire to leave fading. Why leave, when there were so many good things? Like pie in the kitchen.]
[So many things fell into the Ruins, sometimes those things included people. It's mostly why she camped out in this area, staying where other monsters left.
It was for good reason too, some humans proved to be more fragile than others. And one poor soul landed hard for she could swear she smelled the blood on them.
Taking them in and nursing them back to health was easy. Of course it was, the alternative proved to be far harder. She expected they would want to leave, dreading the day it would come. So she put it back in her mind further and further.
Leading to the day she focused on making her own brand of cinnascotch pie, setting it on the table as the heat wafted away.]
Now now, all good things take their time. But I feel a magic-baked pie won't take too long..
[They leaned against Toriel as the two waited, the rich scent of the pie almost masking the comforting fur smell of her. She was so soft, so warm, so large, like Panne in her beast form or an especially fuzzy cow. Henry didn't see Toriel in battle, not really, but they could tell she was strong, both physically and magically, and therefore felt safe.
Best of all, Henry didn't have to act human around her, could mouth her in affection or revert to whines or barks or caws to communicate their feelings. They could even just nuzzle their face against her side when feeling affectionate like this.]
Say, I know I can't just summon magic from nowhere like you can, but do you think you could show me how if I made some fire magic sigils? I wanna make you something too!
[It wouldn't be long now. The human she met behaved far differently than most humans. They spoke in a manner not many would consider human or a language, but she could understand all the same. They needed someone to look after than, she knew that. But she took a special joy in caring for others, it kindled the embers of her heart.
It brought those embers to a warm glow when she could gently lean down and give the human plenty chance to nuzzle and cling to her all they wanted.]
Ah yes, there's many things you can do with fire and heat once you know how.

Elemental magic's nicer, humans just have to make complicated little patterns and then invoke that power and presto! A mighty gale at your fingertips! Pwoosh!
[They chuckled, freeing one arm to make an appropriate sweeping gesture.]
[Toriel suspected there was something more to this human and their education, but she left the matter alone for their sake. After all, she wished not to push the human away from her and out into the Underground.
He felt a nice warmth as they brought their arms around her, Toriel reaching back to give a temporary gently squeeze as she went back to work.]

So if someone is trying to kill me? Of course I'd kill them first, that's what a human has to expect when they try to kill! Otherwise they'd never take the risk. Unless you're really, really good at it, being nonlethal just ends in dying, so there's death either way!
