SECRET relationship;

The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not suppose to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. In a way, it's ideal.

There are a lot of reasons why they don't talk about their relationship outside of certain walls. Barry was with the police department. Even though it wasn't illegal, dating a stripper was probably not good for his chances of advancement. Dating a werewolf and the voluntary food source for one of the local vampires, especially the Master of the City? Definitely not great for his chances of advancement, as far as Jason understood it.

On Jason's side? It was more because he had FAR too many busybodies who would be up in his business and asking questions and might find out far too much about Barry for the man's safety. Even Anita. Probably especially Anita, actually. Jason knew that Jean-Claude knew, but the vampire had never said anything.

There were times that Jason loved Jean-Claude. In a platonic way. Mostly.

He'd waited until the text that Barry was free before he ordered Thai, which he picked up on the way to Barry's place. Always Barry's place because Jason did NOT want to bring him back to the Circus. Way, way too many busybodies in Jason's life.

He knocked on Barry's door with his boot, both arms weighed down by bags of Thai food so that he couldn't reach his key. Enough for a party, usually. Or two men who had insanely high metabolisms.

Even crimes that involved the local werewolf and vampire community required thorough investigation. Barry had been called to enough scenes that he was comfortable with the supernatural population, even if most of them hadn't been able to exactly put their finger on why he smelled or simply 'felt' different.

They'd both agreed that keeping their relationship quiet was for the best. Too many questions to answer and that was even before you consider that his career could be effectively tanked if word got out that he was involved with a werewolf.

On the plus side? They understood one another perfectly. No questioning accelerated metabolisms and with Barry's healing there was no chance that he could ever be infected or turned. Also - Jason made Barry laugh. He was friendly and easy to get along with, and when Barry fell he did it without reservation and without hesitating.

The smell of Thai gets a bright grin as he admits Jason with a kiss before stealing half the bags. "Hey. Sorry I'm late, I had to get some cases wrapped up before I took the weekend off."

One of those crimes had been how they'd met, after all. Jason had been there as Anita's bodyguard and Barry had been there to investigate things. He'd scented that there was something strange about Barry, something he hadn't quite understood until later, the first time he'd met the Flash.

Jason pushes up on his tip toes into the kiss, then groans when Barry steals some of the bags. "Don't worry about it. It gave me time to make sure that my shifts for the weekend are covered for the weekend, too. The twins were happy to take them, thankfully." Since weekends off weren't really something that either of them had very often, when Barry could manage it? Jason did everything that he could to make sure they had the time together. "Everything okay?"

They didn't often get a full weekend and Cisco was under standing orders that unless the city was falling apart, Flash was Off Freaking Duty. He had time to spend with his (discreet) boyfriend and Barry was due the break. So he hums pleasantly into the kiss before kicking the door shut and locking it.

Netflix and enough Thai to feed an army. Not a bad start to a weekend.

"Eh, not bad. Busy but I could hand it off to other people to handle." Oliver could take over anything that went too far sideways, so he could relax for at least a couple of days. "We're good for the weekend. I'll grab some plates, you want to call something up??"

At least there were plenty of other weres that Anita and Jean-Claude could call on if things went sideways. He wouldn't end up called upon unless it was a seriously 'all hands on deck' emergency. Which normally only happened with vampire politics and they tended to have slightly more of a heads up for that.

He places the last of the bags on the coffee table, reaching for the remote. "I'm assuming that the 'chill' part happens after food?" Teasingly said with a wide grin as he pulled up Netflix on the screen. "Nothing crime, nothing supernatural. Nothing too close to job shit this weekend." He paused a moment. "Definitely no Magic Mike. Is that even on Netflix at the moment?"

There's also a good chance that if the entire vampire or werewolf community was on alert, Barry would be hauling ass back to the Cortex to keep an eye on things. But for now it was all quiet in the city and he could keep his focus on Jason, the mountain of spicy Thai and a few comfortable days in.

"Totally after the food," Barry drops on the couch beside him, offering over a fork. "Gotta keep up the stamina, right?" Because yes, there was going to be a lot of sex as part of their weekend together.

"Ugh. Agreed. Nothing that even remotely looks job related." Which.. kind of cut into their options. He snorts out a chuckle, shifting to kiss his jaw, right where it angles back to his ear. "Don't think so. Um. Star Trek? Sci Fi should be a safe bet."

Jason takes the fork, grinning over at Barry before shifting over to lean against him. His smaller size meant that he fits just perfectly against the other man's side. "Original flavor or reboot?" Either way, Jason knows that they'll eventually lose interest in what's actually on the screen. And Star Trek is easy to lose track of for him since he's seen all of it.

They're almost ideally suited, Barry long and lean and Jason smaller and more compact and they can sit comfortably on the couch with only marginal rearranging of limbs. "Let's go with reboot? I can't watch it without Cisco complaining."

Not that he plans on watching that much once they've finished their dinner. In fact.. before he dives in to his meal Barry leans to steal a very long, very thorough kiss. He pulls back with a smile. "Mm. Been looking forward to this all week."

"Cisco complains for good reason," Jason replies with a grin before starting up the first movie. And the infinitely better one, he would say.

Just in time for the longer kiss, which Jason pushes up into easily and happily. When Barry pulls back, Jason settles in with a wide grin. "You and me both. Past couple of weeks, even." Dates could be difficult to coordinate at the best of times. The past few weeks, while hardly dire situations on either end, just hadn't lined up well for them both. "We probably had better eat before I climb in your lap and show you just how much I missed you."

If it wasn't a crisis among the vampires, it was something to do with a pack member or a metahuman that needed Barry to intervene and get them either the help they needed or into Iron Heights prison. Finally their schedules had aligned and they had the weekend for themselves at last.

The warning gets a happy laugh bubbling up from him as he reaches for his fork. "Then I'd better consider myself warned because I would hate for you not to be able to keep that promise."

Jason grins widely at him, settling back to get some food. Passing Barry one of his favorites, first. "Oh, I'm definitely keeping that promise. That's not something you have to worry about."

He settles back against the couch, watching the opening of the movie as they started eating.

Barry makes a pleased sound at the offering, digging in happily. Takeout, Netflix and his boyfriend. Yeah, life really didn't get much better than this.

It only takes a few minutes for Barry to clean up once they're done. There were no leftovers, which was hardly a shock. But extra food means extra stamina and they were long overdue for this.

That's one thing that Jason is still getting used to in a lot of ways. Sure, he knew that Barry was the Flash and, as such, was a lot faster than the average human or were. But when the takeaway boxes are cleared away and Barry is right back beside him in a matter of moments?

Yeah, it was still pretty awesome.

Jason grins once Barry is back beside him and shifts, pressing over against the other man's side. "All settled, then?"

Cleaning up quickly was just a perk of his speed. He wanted to spend as much time as he could with Jason, not waste time cleaning up.

A bright smile as he shifts his arm to come around Jason's shoulders. "Yeah, 'm all yours."

Jason grins up at him for a moment before moving into Barry's lap. Sure, he's not as fast as the Flash by a long shot, but he's faster than most baseline humans. Barry could certainly stop him if he wanted to.

Somehow, Jason's thinking he probably doesn't want to stop him at all. Because straddling Barry's lap puts them both at just the right high for Jason to lean forward and kiss Barry, wrapping his arms around the other man's shoulders as he leans forward into it. And pressing their bodies together from groin to chest.

Oh Barry has no intention of stopping Jason from making good on his promise. His arms wind around his waist, humming happily into the kiss. He's needed this break so badly.

Barry's hands slide up Jason's back, feeling the play of muscles beneath skin as heat coils low in his belly.

Jason slides one hand up into Barry's hair, nipping lightly at the other man's bottom lip. "It's been entirely too long since we last had any time together." Weeks. It had definitely been weeks and Jason can already feel the effect of just the lightest touches.

Barry shudders, a brief vibration as he chases Jason's lips with another eager kiss. "Too long. Maybe," he pauses to catch his breath. "Maybe you should come home with me on Sunday. Joe always wants us to come over for dinner." And maybe it was time that he finally introduced his boyfriend to his family. Joe and Iris already knew that Barry had someone who made him happy - so maybe it was time that they get to meet Jason in person.

His hands smooth down his back, settling easily on his hips. "I'd like you to."

The very idea makes Jason still beneath Barry's hands, pulling back slightly to look at his boyfriend's face. Eyes searching his for a long moment before he licks his lips. "I...if you're sure."

And part of him feels terrible because it's probably not something he'll ever be able to offer Barry himself.

Barry's smile is pure sunshine as he cradles his face in his hands and kisses Jason slowly. "You make me happier than I've ever been. So I think it's time you meet the people who make me happy." He doesn't care about Jason's family and what he can share with him - it's enough that he can walk into the West house with his head held high and his hand firmly in Jason's to introduce his were boyfriend to the foster family that meant so much to him.

"I don't want to hide what we have anymore," he breathes against his lips.

It's very hard to stay nervous in the face of that smile. Jason finds himself relaxing, leaning forward to settle into the kiss again. "Okay," he says after a few moments. "Okay, yeah, we'll do that, then. As long as you're sure."

Joe and Iris and soon after, Cisco and Caitlin and even Harry. He was done hiding - career aspirations be damned. Jason made him happy and given the way his life had gone since the lightning, it was time that Barry hang on to those small moments of joy for as long as he could.

"Never been more sure of anything in my life," he promises. "But now that we've settled that, I think we had other plans for the night?" Barry's grin is impish as he nips at Jason's lower lip.

Jason laughs, grinning at him. "I might introduce you to Jean-Claude. I think we're leaving Anita out of it, though." Mostly because, one, Anita had actually met Barry and, two, she still didn't react well to the men around her being in gay relationships.

Though leaving Anita out meant leaving Nathaniel out for the time being.

He shoves the thought away, shifting slightly so that he could roll his hips down against Barry's. "Let's leave the family discussions for a time when I'm not trying very hard to show you how much I want you to fuck me."

The roll of his hips earns a startled groan as Barry grips his boyfriend close and kisses him warmly. "Mmh. Now that's a good idea. There's reunion sex to be had." Bed moving, possibly furniture breaking sex.

His fingers skim beneath his shirt, searching out warm skin.
