More than just a job

MORE THAN JUST A JOB It's only business, nothing personal...at least, that's how it started. You were pegged as the right one for a job that involves this person; your task could be positive, such as protecting them with their consent or without it, guiding them from point a to point b, and the like - or, as seedier transactions tend to go, it could be negative. You have to take them back to a place they really don't want to return to, you have to be a jailor, or you even have to be their assassin. At the very least, helping or hurting, you'll be compensated generously (by money or, you know, by not being killed off). And that was all that mattered. Until they mattered. They could have shown you something you never knew existed in the world or in yourself. They could have done any number of things, yet they've won you and your feelings over. Your priorities just may shift because of this, but will their view of you do the same as soon as they learn why you were around them in the first place? For your own gain? Will they be able to forgive you? Even if they can, will they be able to see you the way you see them? Comment with your character, preferences, role (the one with the job or the one who is the job), etc. Reply to others. Thread.

[ good thing the cashier isn't paying enough attention to them to see the wolfish grin Cain gives Ren in response, tip of his tongue peeking out of the corner of his mouth and dashing across his upper lip. poor bastard's just trying to ring up Too Much Stuff, all of which amounts to something like a hundred bucks.

Cain just tosses a wad of bills onto the counter and grabs their bags, slinging them in the crooks of his arms and wrists. ]

Think we're good to go.

[ so he heads back to the van, hopping into the back to better situate what's going on between things that are food, not food, and for sex. ]

Whaddya want? There're sandwiches and a ton of snacks.

[ When Ren's inside he pulls the doors closed, reclining like a cat back on one of the pillows as he rips open some jerky. ]

[Well, his boxers are a little less comfortable now. Unable to stop from blushing, Ren follows Cain back into the van and situates near him, taking a moment to immediately steal a chunk of jerky out of Cain' bag, and then settles back a bit to get comfortable, using another pillow so he can comfortably slouch.]

I'm not too picky. But my mouth's been watering since you grabbed this.

[Since it's a fairly large piece, he tears it in half and stuffs one half of it into his mouth. He groans in bliss.]

Mmmh~, I missed this. I got to taste one piece a few years ago, but not at all since then.

[He wriggles a bit to try to pull a bottle of water closer to himself with his feet, fails, and then sits up to do so properly. He proceeds to slouch again.]

[ he laughs, gnawing on his own piece. ]

Yeah? Eat as much as you want. I'm not gonna tell ya no.

[ grabbing a bottle of soda for himself, he cracks that open and takes a nice swig. soda and jerky—obviously the dinner of champions. and failed kidnappers.

this isn't bad. no stress from the boss (outside being found and shot), no jobs, just... doing whatever the fuck he wants. eating jerky in the back of a van. he should have ditched a long time ago. but hey, it's never really that easy.

swallowing another piece, he stretches out, ]

Fuckkk. I'm getting too comfortable, I'm not gonna wanna keep driving.

[rennotrin]

Too comfy, huh? Sorry. I'd drive if I knew how.

[Ren watches him stretch out more, and he wriggles closer. Their bodies are almost touching.]

M'not sure about you, but cold things tend to wake me up. Wanna tackle that ice cream together in a bit?

[Honestly, being exposed to all of this new-ish food has him fairly alert and excited. The smile he directs at Cain is particularly gentle, however.]

Sure.

[ he bows his head onto the pillow, looking up at Ren from beneath his bangs. ]

It ain't gonna last too long, so we'll have to eat it soon.

[ honestly, he's not even sure what flavors he grabbed, but he's not exactly picky. his preference for desserts are... less sweet, more bodily. ]

And then... I guess we'll go, yeah?

[rennotrin]

Yeah, sounds good.

[He abandons the jerky for a sandwich, and pulls the ice cream closer to them. He's not too picky, either. Sweet is sweet. For the moment, Ren is content to eat in silence, focused on satisfying his own appetite. Even so, it's not long before he pokes at the desserts, grabbing the one that's apparently mint flavored with chunks of chocolate in it and immediately unwrapping it.]

[ Cain watches while Ren unwraps the ice cream, gaze flicking between Ren's face and the ice cream. ]

Hey. You should feed me.

[ Pointing to his mouth, he waits, watching expectantly. ]

Okay?

[rennotrin]

Eh? Are your arms dead already from feeding yourself?

[Ren arches an eyebrow at Cain, but he moves closer still, taking the wrapper off completely. Just to be cheeky, he licks some of the treat, making a point to take his time to drag his tongue along its surface.]

I dunno, this one's pretty tasty....

[otvali]

[ noooooo. he makes a face, twisting his mouth into a pout. ]

Don't be a tease.

[ he pushes himself up... only to drop himself back down on Ren's lap. ]

[Ren makes a strange squeaking sound as Cain lands right on his (decidedly, fairly plush) lap, looking at him for a moment like he's speaking some foreign language that he can't make out.

[He huffs in the end, and, briefly entertaining the thought of planting the treat square on Cain's forehead, simply lowers it to his level so he can lick it.]

Fine.

[It's not like sharing like this grosses him out, anyway.]

[ this is an A+ lap. he'll make it his, he thinks. just as good (if not better) than a pillow!

Cain obviously doesn't seem to care about sharing this way. leaning up, he licks, enjoying the coolness against his tongue. but the second lick is slower, more deliberate, as he looks up at Ren through half-lidded eyes.

once he's finished he runs his tongue over his lips. ]

Not bad.

[Ren pretends to be vexed by it, for just a second, a muscle in his thigh giving a minute flex, and then he deliberately licks over where Cain's tongue just touched.]

Indirect kisses like this aren't so bad, either.

[He takes another few licks off of it, and then once more brings it to Cain's level. All the while, he's ignoring how affected he is by this as much as possible.]

No, [ he agrees before giving the ice cream another lick himself. this time, much less delicate, using the flat of his tongue to get a long full taste.

smacking his lips, he nods his chin up, ]

Not so bad.

[ leaning up again, it's like he's going to take another lick of the ice cream, but he changes direction and presses his lips against Ren's instead. a lingering kiss, one he pulls back from with a laugh. ]

... But direct is better.

[rennotrin]

[Ren lets out a soft noise in his throat, cheeks flushed and his gaze darkened in interest. His heart thumps loudly in his ears, breath catching as heat pools low in his gut.]

Hmmmh, agreed.

[Hopefully Cain doesn't mind when he moves the ice cream out of the way so he can kiss him back.]

[ considering he meets that kiss and kisses right back again, he doesn't seem to mind at all.

especially not when he's reaching up to press his hand against Ren's neck, sliding fingers just underneath his jaw while they do.

Ren tastes like ice cream. fuck, it's pretty good. he likes eating ice cream better this way. ]

Welp, I just broke my feels today playing an old JRPG. And then my game froze.

[Ren's mouth is also slightly chilly from it, too. He groans softly at him, pressing gently against his hand in enjoyment. Shyly, he seeks out Cain's tongue properly, wanting to feel him more in what little ways Cain will allow.

[In the back of his mind, he worries that they might get too carried away, but the pursuit of immediate reward drowns it out for the moment. Kissing him, right now, feels even more gratifying than the ice cream in his hand, too.]

[ would that really be so bad? getting carried away.

when Ren seeks out his tongue he parts his lips, letting the younger man in while teasing with his own. slow, exploring, the soft sound of wet mouths meeting and rubbing against each other. plus the slight stickiness from the ice cream.

in the kiss he makes a noise of enjoyment, a short vibration from his throat. ]

Yup. >w<;;

[Ren's definitely getting swept up in it, unconsciously letting out a soft, pleased sound in his throat as heat curls hotter and hotter within him, and he has to be careful not to grip the ice cream too tightly, lest he crush it.

[He doesn't want to stop, even as he gently explores Cain's mouth, from the warmth of his tongue to the firmness of the palate. He never quite reacted this enthusiastically to a kiss before, either, so he's a little caught off guard by his own wants. But only a little.]

Mm...

[ he moves from gentle and slow to adding more urgency when he tilts his head. pushing his mouth against Ren's and moving his lips, sucking on the tongue that's exploring his mouth like he would that ice cream.

quietly, his other hand slips onto the younger man's thigh for support and gives a firm squeeze. ]

[Whimpering (a little loudly, whoops,) he shakily sets the ice cream back down on its wrapper, before it can drip on his fingers, his thigh tenses slightly as it's squeezed. Ren almost feels like he's not getting enough air.

[Even so, he doesn't want to stop when he guides Cain's hand to press higher up on his thigh.]

[ Cain follows along as Ren directs, sliding his palm up until that hand is neatly nestled in his lap. it's the cute whimper that makes him press his thumb against the seat of Ren's pants, rubbing up and down with the pad to while they kiss. enough pressure for him to feel.

his throat feels scratchy from the swapped spit, the heat of their lips, but he doesn't stop. just deepens the kiss to drown out any stray thoughts even more; poor ice cream, left forgotten. but he's got a better dessert right now. ]

[When Cain's thumb presses where he wants it most, it's then that Ren breaks the kiss when he groans, planting his hands down against the mess of blankets he's sitting on as he struggles to catch his breath. He regards Cain with a needy look.]

Fuck...

I'm gonna wanna keep going at this rate....

[otvali]

[ Cain looks back with a wolfish smile, almost innocent... but everything but. ]

Then why stop?

[ other than the fact that their ice cream is melting, and their car is parked in a 7-11 parking lot. but no one else is in the parking lot! and ice cream can be replaced. ]

Tell me where you want me.

[rennotrin]

[It's mainly the fact that they're in a parking lot, but enough blood has rushed from Ren's head that it doesn't feel like as much of a problem as before.]

You'll need to get off my lap first. Despite how appealing this is as it is.

[Even so, he leans down to kiss him again, soft and lingering.]

Mm.

[ he wants to stay because it's really, really comfortable on Ren's lap. moving isn't very appealing at all. but once he returns that kiss, shortening it by sitting up, he stretches and watches the other with heavy eyes for a moment. ]

I like your lap.
