Buddy Cop AU meme

You're two renegade cops with nothing to lose. A loose cannon who plays by his own rules and a tight cannon who plays by everyone else's rules. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Shit's getting real? You better believe it. Shit's always real when you two are on the beat. This, is the Buddy Cop AU post.

Rules:

1) You're a character posting in a meme (blank or not, don't care) with your character's name and fandom in the subject line.
2) They're a character replying to your comment.
3) YOU FIGHT CRIME!

For the creatively stunted, I do have some prompts if ya need 'em.
1. Out On The Beat
Out on patrol in your squad vehicle of choice or on foot. Looking out for action, be it someone stealing from a little old lady or a gang getting ready to beat some poor schmo up.

2. No Time for Backup!
Looks like they have you surrounded! It's a firefight/fistfight, and you two are in the middle of it! What are you gonna do? Run for it? Call for backup? Or go down in a blaze of glory? Or none of the above.

3. Next Time, I'll Have Your Badge!
One (or both) of you just got chewed out by the chief because your methods are reckless and unreliable! Seriously, you killed at least 40 people AND ran your squad car into their hideout! Who do you think you are? Also, you're off the case! What do you do now?

4. We're Going Undercover
No, not like that, you crazy smut writers. But, you're going to need to get the drop on these crooks, or get some info out of them. Luckily, you're a master of disguise. Yup, you two are going to have to dress up and act like them or something along those lines in order to get the info you want!

5. Looks Like He Was Murdered Over Here
Man, fuck those detectives. They aren't finding anything important. No, you and your buddy could probably figure this out just by looking about the crime scene. From the bloody outline on the wall to the lab in the basement, you probably have this covered. Just remember, don't touch anything.

6. A Good Ol' Fashioned Game Of--
Good Cop, Bad Cop. You finally got the lead you're been waiting on, and all that's left is to get the info you need out of them. Thus, you and your friend get the opportunity to interrogate the poor sucker and make sure that they talk. In order to do that, one of you might have to become a little unstable, and the other may have to act as if they're trying to comfort them. Don't forget to ask, WHERE ARE THEY

7. Another Day Done
Welp, you two are officially off duty. What're you going to do now? Go out for drinks? Go looking for trouble now that you're not restricted by the law? Or maybe talk about the tough day you had of foiling evil. Doesn't matter, now you have the whole night to think about it.

8. Wildcard
Mix/match or make your own. Anything goes!

The dock worker with a scar and a limp was no suspicious thing around the waterfront late at night.

If only criminal types knew they were in the presence of Sherlock Holmes, world's only consulting detective. There had been some smuggling rumors of precious artifacts coming in and Sherlock was going to sniff out the culprits. Even if he had to work among them as one of them.

Helping to haul lines and boxes from the ship in question.

Doctor Hooper, had shed her his usual persona of Morgue Director, and sported the cleanshaven, albeit filthy, cheeks of an Irregular along with a flat cap and and a ragged third hand jacket. It was far easier to pretend to be a boy than to invent another male persona, especially as Mister Holmes was not that unobservant.

Why, she he had been pressed into service, Molly Matthew or rather Matty, given her his perceived age, wasn't entirely certain. Was Doctor Watson in some lofty position with his firearm? Or had his wife finally taken the opportunity to sit him down after taking the frying pan he kept attempting to hand off, and struck him with it?

The messenger Holmes had sent down to the morgue hadn't explained that while he tossed his cap and jacket at her Matthew and told her him that Holmes needed help right away. If someone was dead, Holmes could, at the very least, bring them in properly, but then Holmes was never known to do anything properly.

Shortly after being dropped off by the hansom a ways from where she he had been told to go, Molly Matty, soon became a runner, delivering a messages back and forth from between several dockside pubs that were open deep into the night. Messages that she he, of course, read, in addition to getting a good look at the recipients.

Had spotted Holmes, bending his back to a load, that height of his difficult to hide. The pleasant surprise of his musculature was eye opening and she he rather liked the looks of the large mole on his cheek. The hair on the end was a nice touch, so much so that most would only see that and not remember his face.

Sherlock, or rather 'Jones' was his alias this time, mopped his dirty brow with an equally dirty handkerchief. Leaning against a stack of boxes as the men were given a few minutes of break time before the next shipment. He struck a match off his boot and lit a cigarette, listening to the small talk between the men. So far, he had narrowed it down to two of the ships where the artifacts were coming from.

However, one of them wasn't hiring new workers so he was going to have to find a way onto it covertly.

Had a few minutes between message, the bosses happy with her quickness. Had been given a mug of something terribly alcoholic. Smelled strong enough to use as a disinfectant. There were a couple of ships that were interesting. One loaded with opium, the other with human cargo, Chinese and Indian girls to be specific. Plunked her-himself down, on a nearby crate, feet swinging and offered up a swallow of the whiskey? in exchange for a puff.

Believing she he had narrowed down which ship Holmes was looking for Molly Matty was ready to take an educated guess. "Parthia. Slaves." Taking a rather practiced inhale after said negotiation had occurred. Second guess, "Abyssinia. Opium."

Holmes gave the boy a narrow look before exchanging the cigarette. That did help narrow it down further. The slave ship was hiding their own share of secrets, which meant the less noticeable cargo would be the opium.

"They ain't hirin'," he said in a cockney accent that was good enough to be native. However, a smaller boy might not be noticed. Especially if they were carrying a message. Holmes scribbles on a bit of paper from his pocket, handing it over to Matty. "Give that to the Captain of the Abyssinia," he says in a low voice, the accent gone.

Winked and tugged her his cap.

Admittedly, she he was having fun. There was some advantage to being her him. Small and lean, a bit of padding to hide other small assets, she could go places neither Holmes nor Watson could. That was...different. Although right now it meant running her his legs off, in a pair of sloppy fitting boots. A hot bath and a good scrub was already looked forward to. Soles hit the mud and gunk with a slap and she was off, first to check in and get the new message, then off to make the deliveries.

Had been aboard the Abyssinia previously and found the Captain easily enough, handing over Holmes' message.
