[Seeing her son and Roland play in a pillow fort, well, she doesn't want to miss that. She can work around all the pillows.]

[But she comes over and picks up a bag of M&Ms anyway, and gets settled in while she watches Henry explain his favorite comic books to Roland. He's so good with the younger boy, and it shows her how much she's missed with him. She understands now why it is that her mother wanted another baby. It's hard to know all of the firsts that she'll never get to have with Henry.]

We could use more peanut butter. [he's joking, but seriously. He has no healthy food at all.]

[he is glad that he managed to get Emma to hang out and have some fun. Somehow he still has that ability with her]

Henry's really good at the older brother thing, huh?

At least that has protein. [Which is more than she can say about the other snacks he brought with him.

There's a little smile at his statement about Henry, but it's tinged with a hint of sadness.]

Yeah he is.

[She supposes that's because he spent so much time without much family but wanting more than he now finds it wherever he can. Which is such a Neal thing to do.]

[he smiles back at her] You'll be a great big sister, too. That kid is really lucky.

Ah... [he is the worst person to talk about this, isn't he?]

Can't argue with that. [he makes the exact face he made to her when she was a baby. Not that he would recognize it]

[She's silent for a moment, just eating her candy and watching Henry with Roland.] Do you think he'd like being an actual older brother someday?

[Congratulations, August. She hasn't even talked to Killian about this yet, and here she is bringing it up with you.]

Really? [he is both surprised and pleased] Wow, I think he'd really love that. And you'd have me as a dedicated babysitter.

Maybe. If I ever stop having to save the world. [It would be a bit inconvenient at the moment, after all.] You know you'd actually have to take care of a baby if you did that, right?

Well, yeah, that was the idea. [he wants to do better this time around] I already asked your mom if I can watch your brother sometimes.

You're really serious about this, aren't you?

Yeah. Look... [takes a breath] I know I messed up before. Being me again feels like another chance, and I'm going to take it.

Alright. If I ever have another kid [and she's not saying she will, just that she might] you can babysit.
