1. Royalty You are the prince or princess of a faraway kingdom. Are you a kind and generous ruler or are a royal pain? Maybe it's that time for you to think about the future and start looking for a husband or bride. Have you ever been outside the castle walls? Do you have any interest in stepping outside your cozy world at all? 2. Runaway Prince/Princess Whatever the reason, you couldn't take living in the castle anymore! You packed up a few belongings (or maybe a few too many) and now, you are on the run! How long you've been on the run is up to you. Be careful that no one finds out who you are or they might send you back to the castle and you wouldn't want that! 3. Knight in Shining Armor Are you in the kingdom to fight in a tournament? Maybe you are being sent away to slay the evil dragon? Whatever your purpose is, you are a noble and loyal knight sworn to serve. . . whether you like it or not. 4. Magician You are the greatest magician in all the land! . . . Or are you? You can be a few things with this: The court magician, an evil wizard, or maybe magic is forbidden in your kingdom and you're keeping your powers a secret. And what is your power? Can you cure an illness, make love potions, blow things up, or are you dabbling in the dark arts and a master of curses? 5. Enchanted creature Your character can be any fantastic creature-- dragon, unicorn, mermaid, Tinker Bell, or perhaps you were once a human but some horrible spell has turned you into what you are now. Beware! There are some who might want to harm you for one reason or another. . . or maybe the humans are the one who should be aware of you. 6. Questionable occupation Gotta eat to live and you gotta steal to eat. Whatever your place in society is right now, it's not a good one. You don't have a problem breaking the law to accomplish whatever it is you want (or need) to do. You might be the pirate king that terrorizes the coastal kingdoms or a common thief stealing just to get a meal. Once the officials get their hands on you, it's to the dungeons with you! 7. Commoner Who are you? No one special. .. or are you? Maybe you're the servant and close friend of someone at the castle. But then again, you might be someone on the outside that daydreams of what it's like in the castle. [ Kariya is pretty fast, since he doesn't want to be seen either -- but he didn't have enough foresight to wear a cloak or something to cover up his rather, ah, distinguishable features.

And since it's a Bad Day, it makes sense that he would trip over a crate on the last leg of his Great Escape and go tumbling out of the market area and into the dirt, thankfully missing the nearby water source, but unfortunately landing on his head. Ouch.

B|... now his fish are ground flavoured and he's all dirty. He doesn't want to be groomed when he gets back home... Oh and he thinks he hurt something because he's having trouble getting up. ]

Kirino quickly excuses himself as his purchase is completed, and makes his way out of the marketplace. He walks over to the cat and kneels down.]

... Are you all right, little feline? [... Ignoring the fact that Kirino probably wasn't much bigger than Kariya.]

Fine. [ So he says, while tipping over to one side.

Great. Okay, fine, fine. He'll just lay there and pretend he totally meant to do that. ]

... You don't look it. [He places a finger to Kariya's forehead. Kariya should feel a rather warm sensation, and when it disperses, he'll find that the pain is gone. Kirino retracts his hand, smiling from under his hood.]

What do you mean b-- [ Hey what are you poking that finger at him for it doesn'-- oh oh... that's nice. Kariya blinks and sits up straight, ears twitching. ]

....Thank you? [ Is that the right thing to say? He is so confused. ]

I... saw that fall you took and got a little concerned. [Without really realizing it, he reaches over, scratching behind one of Kariya's ears.]

[ Kariya purrs and then bites on his lip to stop himself. He frowns at Kirino, twitching his ear away. ]

...Right, are you here to make me go give the stuff back too? [ This guy is just buttering him up so he'd go nicely, right? ]

Of course not. You need the food, but lack the money. I have no right to make you give back what you've taken. [Kirino retracts his hand once more, placing it in his lap.]

Oh. [ Kariya pauses and looks Kirino up and down. ]

...Really? [ He looks hopeful, but still a little disbelieving. ]

Yes, really. I'm not going to deny another living being their right to eat.

... Not to mention, it'd be rather hypocritical of me. There used to be a time when I needed to steal in order to eat as well.

[ Kariya leans in curiously and tries to (inconspicuously) sniff at Kirino. This guy doesn't... smell bad.

Eventually, he leans back again, pleased and smiling. ]

You're not all that bad, then!

[It might be interesting to note that Kirino smells heavily of forest, and if he's able to catch it (some animals are able to sense it, as Kirino's discovered), he also smells very heavily of that indescribable scent of magic.

His own smile widens and he reaches over to scratch Kariya's ear again. Kittyyyyyy *o*]

[ Kariya has already decided Kirino is a mage of some sort -- the healing thing from earlier -- but he didn't really expect it to be so strong.

...Doesn't matter, though, because Kirino is giving scratchies and he likes that. And Kariya is going to let Kirino continue giving them because he;s good at them, and also because he's clearly a Nice Person.

[Okay this hood is getting annoying. Kirino's just going to pull it down. But still going to continue scratching behind Kariya's ear because adorable kitty YES]

[ This kitty has forgotten that it's currently not a kitty and comes padding over to nuzzle at Kirino because yes good keep the pets coming. ]

[ Kariya rests his head on Kirino's lap for easy petting-- and then realises what he just did and bolts up, a little flustered. ]

A-ah--! [Kirino retracts his hand when Kariya bolts up.

He's honestly not sure why Kariya did so because living in a forest for seven years leaves you ignorant of social cues and certain personal space-related boundaries.]

[ Meanwhile Kariya is well aware of them but forgets himself sometimes. Gosh being person is hard ): ]
