[Finn was never one to go for the sweet stuff. Back in the First Order, food only had one function: fuel. It needed to provide nourishment, and nothing more than that. It didn't need to taste good (and it rarely ever did taste good), and the storm troopers were never given time to enjoy eating. You eat whatever they gave you, you do so as quickly as possible, you get your helmet on immediately after, then you get back to work.

That was his life.

Was.

His life is rather different now, something which is evidenced in the plates of food that are laid out before him. Waffles topped with whipped cream and pieces of mixed fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns... his breakfast seems to go on and on. Its all sugary junk, he knows, and there is some part of him that feels guilty for eating this. Somewhere in his mind, he can still hear the speeches about how the weak-willed in the Republic would shove heir faces with decadent junk while those in the first order knew that their bodies were there for a greater cause, and each one had treat their body as a finely tuned machine.

But as he shoves another piece of bacon in his mouth, he can't help but think that even the beast machines need a little grease every now and again.]

Man, if I knew food was this good, I might've left the Order a lot sooner.

[The thing about being in the Resistance (or any other military, really) is the irregular hours, sometimes long ones, what seems like days on duty with time off only to eat or sleep. So it's not unusual that Poe wouldn't get a chance to eat until 3 in the morning. Although this time, after almost a week straight of missions and reconnaissance, he's torn between which one he wants to do more, eat or sleep.

Finn wanted to come here though, and he's been so busy that they haven't really had a chance to get caught up on anything, so he had agreed to Finn's request. He can put off sleep for a few more hours. He's been promised a full day off, after all.]

I think I'm going to need a whole pot of coffee.

The T-Birds moved through the place the same way they did practically everything. Loudly, with no regard for the space they shared with other people. They owned it. Joking and laughing and already causing a ruckus even before they got to a table. It wasn't their usual haunt, but what else was open so late on a Saturday night?

Danny didn't even notice who else was there as he and his boys crashed behind a table. Practically on top of each other. Their incredibly minimal orders were called out almost immediately. Did they ever have any money?

While they were all chattering, mostly teasing Doody about his current lack of an instrument, Danny got up from the table. There were demands for where he was going, and insults thrown back. He turned around the banter, and immediately spotted Rizzo's table. Great.

Ducking his head, he shoved his hands into his pockets and headed right out the door he'd just come through. What did he care if she was there? Not at all. Not even a little bit. He dug in his pocket for a cigarette, convincing himself of this very simple fact: he didn't care.
