For whatever reason, the floor is an unacceptable place to sleep. It's messy, the dog is there, THE FLOOR IS LAVA, there's flooding, feels weird, or it's too dirty to walk on. Who cares why it's not acceptable, it just isn't! Normally, that's not an issue, but tonight you have a friend over. Maybe it's the safest place, maybe it's hurricane season and your house is the only one out of the path of the storm. Are they mooching off you? Stop trying to figure out the details! Just get over it and share the bed with that person! Sexy times are not required. Intimacy is not required. Just share the damn bed already.

[Makoto was definitely going to never live this down, the very tips of his ears burning bright pink. He refused, refused to look at Kisumi, afraid of embarrassing himself even further. But luckily, despite his actual inexperience, he knew what sort of education Kisumi was referring to. It was kind of hard not to, considering what they had just been doing.]

Forget I said anything!

[kisumicchi]

Not happening.

[Sure, he could lie to Makoto, but there was simply no point. Instead, Kisumi tried to pull his hands away from his face and when that didn't work out, he just placed a kiss on top of his palm.]

Actually, I'm quite flattered, you know?

[The kiss made him melt despite himself, Makoto peering out from behind his hands, still a bit wary and pink, but curious.]

Why?

Because you're so willing... [He had to watch his words, hadn't he?] ...to spend your free time with me. Doing things.

[He tied. Even without explaining what he exactly meant, it sounded bad enough.]

[It definitely sounded really, really bad, and Makoto's flush was going to ratchet back up to a shade that probably but Kisumi's hair color to shame.]

Of course I would be. You're a good person and I like spending time with you.

[It also didn't hurt that he was a good kisser.]

[Kisumi blinked a few times, processing what Makoto had said just a while before. It wasn't like he was a bad guy or anything and he was aware of that, but hearing something like that was always a bit surprising...and really pleasant at the same time.]

What about we go somewhere together when the exams will be over?

[He sure didn't waste time asking him out.]

Sure!

[They had hung out plenty of times before, so it wasn't like it was anything new. Except, you know, that there might be a lot of kissing involved. Makoto's expression softened, and he shifted in the bed so he was closer.]

Where would you want to go?

[Seeing Makoto relaxing a little and eventually moving closer made Kisumi's smile widen.]

Theater and then eat out?

[Honestly, even walking around the campus and holding hands with him would be great. But he would have to restrain himself from gushing to everyone who would pass by how cute Makoto is.]

Or just hang out in the park?

The park would be nice. It seems like most days I've been cooped up inside...

[Which wasn't necessarily bad, but a little fresh air would be nice every now and then.

Or... A bit shyly and innocently, Makoto ventured:]

[The question slipped past his lips before he even realized it. He didn't sound disappointed really, but rather surprised. There goes his showing off plan.

On the other hand...]

You're right. No one will disturb us here.

[At that point, he might have been doing it on purpose just to see him blush again.]

[If Kisumi's goal was to make Makoto blush, it was going to be one that was easily achievable. Immediately, Makoto reddened, hiding his face in his hands quickly.]

The park is nice! Let's go to the park!

[kisumicchi]

[After thinking it over, staying here sounds like a much better idea to Kisumi, who wrapped his arms around Makoto and nuzzled into him.]

But...I wanna stay...

[For a better effect, he even pouted.]

W-What happened to the park? It's a nice day out...

[Still, Makoto was weak against Kisumi's pout, and despite himself he couldn't help but smile fondly. He started tucking the blankets around them a bit more tightly before returning the embrace, yawning slightly.]

Only for a little bit, okay?

[kisumicchi]

Okay.

[Said as he snuggled into the other boy. He didn't have any reason to refuse, besides...who said he couldn't steal a kiss or two from Makoto in public?]

Color me surprised, I didn't know you'd be so eager to express your feelings in public places...

[Why teasing him is so much fun...]

[That last statement was enough to sound like Kisumi wasn't one hundred percent sure of Makoto's affections for him, which clearly needed to be corrected. Cue embarrassing things being said with a straight face in 3...2...1...]

Of course I don't have a problem letting anyone know how important you are to me.

[Makoto's voice was firm and held no room for doubt, even if it was ruined by the yawn at the end of it.]

[The yawn got in the way, but it was no less surprising for Kisumi to hear Makoto saying such a thing without stuttering even once.]

So...there's nothing wrong with me kissing you when others are around?

[Just making sure.]

W-Well it we can take it slow it would be appreciated.

[Not that there was anything wrong with kissing Kisumi, but he might be way too embarrassed to do so in public for a while. He hoped Kisumi wouldn't take it to heart, considering he'd been a bit flustered to do so even in private.]

[Kisumi decided to take his words quite literally and started to slowly lean in for another kiss. But before that would happen, he whispered against Makoto's lips:]

Is that slow enough? Or should I be a bit faster about it?

I-It's fine.

[Makoto mumbled, already drawn in despite himself, closing the distance between the two of them to kiss him soundly.]

[Sensing Makoto's lips on his own made him wonder briefly whether is it possible to get addicted to kissing. Because something was telling him, that with Makoto it could be a thing.

One of his hands had gone up to stroke the other boy's cheek a little while before he decided to break the kiss by pulling away.]

I wish I came to you for those notes sooner, really.

[The little confession made Makoto laugh slightly, a bit breathless even though it had just been some light kissing. It was easy to lose himself in it, to just enjoy Kisumi's warmth next to him and his mouth against his. He liked it, because while it was new and a little nerve wracking, it wasn't scary.]

We can make up for any lost time. I'm not going anywhere.

[He pressed their foreheads together, smiling slightly.]

But I am glad you came to get those notes now instead of later.

[Speaking of notes...

Makoto could watch Kisumi's grin gradually turn into a wince once he remembered what he needed these notes for. He wasn't an exemplary student by any means, but failing this one would have grave consequences.]

Uh...

[He'd rather stay, and every fiber in his body wanted to stay just where he was.]

I think I should go, though...you go back to sleep.

[It was still rather early, after all.]

[Makoto would have protested, but that wince and his sense of priorities kicked in. So he pressed a soft kiss into Kisumi's hairline, trying to smile encouragingly.]
