cuddle up

CUDDLE MEME
what to do:
☆ post a comment with your character's name and fandom or preferences, if you have them.
★ use the magic RNG 1-12 to pick the cuddly scenario. or not.
☆ then cuddle it out!
cuddle choices:
① Sweet dreams It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.
② Stormy weather The heavy rain, thunder and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.
③ Lazy dancer It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.
④ Surprise attack Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.
⑤ Movie night It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.
⑥ I love you, man It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.
⑦ Jeepers creepers Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?
⑧ Hurt and comfort Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.
⑨ Sunday morning Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there’s just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart’s content.
⑩ Moment after You just had incredible, vigorous sex (playing out is totally optional) and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.
⑪ Ménage à trois Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.
⑫ Player's choice Pick one or make up your own!

So it'll just be between us instead? That's even cuter, you know. [ Nope, never going to let it go. Sayaka's not going to lose this one - at least not through words, anyway. ] But if it makes you feel better, I guess I can keep it a secret.
[ Only because she's nice, though. Clearly Kyouko should be thanking her. ]
no subject
Whatever. Who made you the big expert on cute, anyway? If you know so much, you think you'd have a bunch of boys following you around all the time or something.
[No, see, she can hang. Piece of cake, right.]
no subject
You'd think so, huh? I guess that's just not my style. [ Not that she'd pay any attention, even if it did happen, but the fact she couldn't even get the one guy she wanted still hurts a bit. She laughs, trying to sound lighthearted. ] I mean, with Hitomi and Madoka around, it shouldn't be all that surprising, anyway.
[ What with Hitomi being the elegant, flawless rich girl, and Madoka... well, Madoka is still the nicest person Sayaka's ever met. She can't really see herself as anything special next to the two of them. ]
no subject
I think that's smart. Who'd want to deal with a bunch of stupid guys all the time, anyway? There can't be a lot of 'em out there who are even worth your time.
no subject
... Yeah, you're right. [ Though it's hard to say whether or not any others would have been worth her time, given how long she was fixated on just one. Sayaka doesn't hold any grudges, but it'll take her a while to really get over it, something the slight tremble in her words probably gives away. ] Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. I'm okay with how things turned out.
[ Or that's what she keeps telling herself, anyway. She realizes quickly that she's said way more than she should have - it only takes a few moments to rub her eyes and force a smile on, but the damage is done. ]
... Heh, sorry about that. [ Her eyes might still be red, but the smile is at least growing more genuine. ] I guess I never really had a chance to talk to anybody about it until now.
no subject
The way Sayaka's words come out triggers a pang of sympathy in Kyouko's gut--that, and a lesser pang of anger. A girl gives up her whole life for the sake of one boy, and he'll never know how or why. Then he gets together with someone else. It's awful, but, well. If Sayaka says it's okay, then what right does Kyouko have to dwell on it?
Without really thinking, Kyouko puts an arm around Sayaka's shoulders, and she leans closer. Then she tries to match her smile.]
Why are you saying sorry? We got ears for listening, don't we? I promise that you got until this dumb rain stops to talk about whatever you want.
no subject
It's just... [ She's still choking on her words, though there's not any regrets behind them; there's just been no way for her to talk about this with anyone else, even if she had the chance. Hitomi is obviously out of the question, and she wouldn't feel right bringing it up to Madoka, given the involvement of their mutual friend. ] Even if I'm fine with everything, it still kinda hurts to think about.
[ And it still sucks, if she's honest with herself, but a few deep breaths later she regains her composure. Kyouko doesn't need to be bored with the details, so she's just taking the chance to get everything out. ]
But it's better this way, you know? I mean, Hitomi's way too good for him, but I bet they're both happy. [ She laughs; weak but unforced. ] Besides, it wouldn't have been fair for me to try and take that away from them. Not with what I am now.
[ Something she's mostly come to terms with, but still can't help feeling the slightest bit of regret towards. She's always just wanted what's best for Kyousuke, even if that means letting him go. ]
no subject
Loss. It's a devastating pain, and in Sayaka's case, it was coupled with the revelation that she wasn't technically human anymore. "Not with what I am now." The last words out hit Kyouko the hardest. She feels her mouth tighten and her teeth clench. Kyouko is in the same situation, obviously, but maybe she still hasn't accepted it like Sayaka has. When they talked about it originally, she told Sayaka that she "got what she paid for." Was that true? Did the price and change of form really dictate that Puella Magi ought to treat themselves as less than human? It didn't seem quite right.]
You can be happy for 'em, but don't act like it's because you're not good enough the way you are. How do think that makes me feel, huh? You know, since we're the same?
no subject
That's--! [ Nothing. She was so caught up in her own feelings that she managed to completely forget about just who she was talking to, and she knows anything she says now would only sound like an excuse. ] I just don't know if he'd even accept me anymore. [ A short, bitter laugh. ] Stupid, right? If I was already having doubts like that, then...
[ Then she should have realized from the start that things would never work out. She rubs her eyes a final time, eventually composing herself enough to speak more firmly. ]
... Anyway, none of that stuff is important now. [ What's done is done, unless your name is Homura. After a moment's pause, she puts her arm around Kyouko's shoulders as well, leaning against the other girl again. ] If we're the same, then all that really matters is that we accept each other.
[ Only another Puella Magi could ever really understand, after all, and even Sayaka's not stupid enough to try and argue otherwise - if she keeps thinking less of herself, then she's thinking less of Kyouko and the others by extension. ]
no subject
No, okay. Serious. Kyouko isn't really mad at Sayaka for the implication of what she said. What she's more worried about is Sayaka's view on her own self worth--although that is personal, in a way, because Kyouko likes Sayaka a lot, and it's frustrating stuff to hear from the girl's own mouth. Sayaka's conclusion, though, isn't frustrating to hear at all. Her touch isn't unwelcome, either, especially since it's still pretty cold.]
'Course we're the same, and you're right. So, if you ever forget what you just said, you're lucky, 'cause I'm gonna be around to smack the sense back into you.
[Kyouko closes her eyes. One way or another, she guesses that at some point they'll be cold like this again, what with the fate of all Puella Magi stacked against them. They'd be cold and alone, probably, but still together. So in other words? Not so cold, and not so alone.]
no subject
Fortunately, she's not about to ruin something like this. Sayaka might not be the best at thinking before she open her mouth (or thinking at all, sometimes), but not dwelling on the past is a lot easier when her future doesn't seem quite so hopeless anymore. ]
Yeah, yeah. You don't need to remind me. [ She's back to smiling, now - still a little wistful, but the happiness is genuine. ] Just don't you forget it either, or I'll have to do something really drastic, okay?
[ ... Not that she has any idea what that would consist of, but the important part is the teasing has finally made a comeback. Kyouko is equally important to her, after all, and she still feels bad about what she said earlier. ]
no subject
I'm not gonna forget. Why don't you think real hard for second, then tell me who's the bigger airhead between you and me?
no subject
You, obviously. [ She laughs, nudging Kyouko with her elbow lightly. ] How else do you explain the fact you're still here, huh?
[ Sayaka might be an idiot, but she's never met anyone so stubborn when it comes to trying to keep that idiot straight. ]
no subject
What that's supposed to mean? You think I'm stupid for hanging out with you like this?
no subject
Not exactly. Things are different now [ sort of ], but you remember how it was before, right? You were really stubborn, even when I wouldn't listen. Most people would have just given up.
[ Not that Sayaka has a right to call anyone else stubborn, but she's at least moved on enough to acknowledge the fact she acted stupider than usual back then. It's still a little awkward to think about, so she leans over to poke Kyouko lightheartedly. ]
So if you want to call me an airhead, you must be an even bigger one for dealing with all that. [ Seriously, think of all the food she could have eaten in that time instead. ]
no subject
No. No, Kyouko, focus. She nudges Sayaka back in return for the poke.]
Alright, I guess I get what you're saying. Doesn't matter, though--since I was stubborn, we ended up being friends. Seems like you still gotta learn how to put your stubbornness to good use.
[Wrap your head around that logic, Sayaka. Or don't. Might not be worth it to try.]
no subject
Yeah, you've got a point there. [ Even if the logic behind it isn't exactly logical, but Sayaka isn't about to argue this one - it wouldn't be right to poke too much fun at the trait that led to their friendship, after all. ] When you put it like that, it sounds like I owe you, huh? I guess we'll go somewhere to eat once the rain stops.
[ Food: the solution to everything when it comes to Kyouko, and the source of despair for anyone who agrees to sit and wait until she's done. ]
no subject
You're saying that you owe me? Means dinner's on you, right?
[Haha. She's kidding.
Or is she?]
no subject
W, well... maybe just this once, okay? [ She knows Kyouko's probably joking, but at the same time, she figures it's the right
if potentially fatalthing to do. ] Ahahaha... I wanted to go someplace nice, but that could be really dangerous...[ That sure is some very nervous laughter, even when she's trying to tease still. Sayaka isn't sure if she'll make it out of this one with anything left to her name. ]
no subject
You worrywart. A normal-sized dinner is fine. You think I'm gonna make you flush away your life's savings at some restaurant? I'd have to be a pretty crappy friend.
[No dubious tone here. She's willing to show restraint for you, Sayaka, isn't that just the cutest?]
no subject
I wasn't just going to assume something like that, you know. [ She's grumbling a bit, but not out of annoyance - it's just surprising, in a nice kind of way. ] Besides, I'm the one asking you out, so it wouldn't be fair if you didn't at least enjoy the meal.
[ Sayaka's apparently too distracted to realize the implications of what she just said, but at least it's true. She would still feel bad if Kyouko didn't fill up to some degree, even if her savings would probably argue otherwise. ]
no subject
You must think I'm picky or something. Nobody's got any right to complain about free food, okay? Doesn't matter what, where, or how much. And I'm leaving it in your hands, 'cause you know this city better than me.
[Take her someplace great, though, and you'll win her heart for ever and ever. So that's worth emptying the wallet for, right?
Right?]no subject
Yeah, I guess. But that means you can't complain about being hungry later, okay? [ Hahahah, yeah right. Sayaka honestly doubts Kyouko would ever be unable to fit more in that stomach of hers. ] C'mon. It's still kinda cold outside, but it looks like the rain's stopped.
[ And really, it's not going to get warmer anytime soon, so there's no point waiting anymore. At least they can both freeze to an equal degree. ]
no subject
'Bout time. [Kyouko hops to her feet with a peppiness that betrays her excitement. She raises her arms in the air to stretch, then grins at Sayaka.] If it's cold, then all be gotta do is get there quicker.
no subject
Right! Let's not waste any more time, then. [ Not willing to be outdone in excitement, Sayaka jumps to her feet too - though, as usual, her mouth is one step ahead of any kind of plan. After a few seconds of standing there like an idiot, she finally decides on a place; grabbing Kyouko's hand to pull the other girl after her. She doesn't trust her not to get distracted by a candy wrapper in the breeze or something. ] I've been to this place before, so I know it's pretty good.
[ ... Admittedly it's been a while, but it's not far away enough for her to get them lost. Probably. ]
*we gotta do (and I thought I was doing so well)
i suppose i can forgive such a mistake
I will always rememeber the benevolance you have shown me this day
