And it's more than a normal, healthy feeling of youthful isolation, because somehow, someway, you were cut off from your kind and grew up as the only one. Perhaps you had to go your life alone, though if you were lucky, you could have been taken in by another species and raised by them, as they took pity on you. It's possible that you were raised in conditions most would consider "wild," even barbarous or animalistic, and certainly not befitting someone of your kind. Of course, you don't know that. You don't even think there are others like you. Until someone like you falls into your life, by chance, by accident, or by design. At first, you go full-tilt into learning everything about this mysterious stranger and all they know about your mutual people. All these wonderful concepts, these worlds you've never dreamed of! Most importantly, now you know you're not alone. Then, things change. Your focus begins to shift to this person, more than just the information they can provide. You can't help but notice their features, so much like yours. Whenever they're around, you feel so much lighter and happier. Your heartbeat quickens. You want to see them smile. Why do you have this growing need to be beside them? You don't understand any of this and, hopefully, you're fine with that as long as you get to learn more and stay with this person, this link to your past...and your future. ʜᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ ᴘʟᴀʏ This was originally conceived as a shipping meme, but if you want to play gen, that's fine. Just clarify! Smut is fine, too. Again, just specify it. Feel free to AU your character as desired. You can do a feral AU or just focus on the "thought they were the only one" aspect. ANYWAY, comment with your character, preferences, and, if you'd like, which part you'd like to play (the "only" one/wild one or the "stranger"). Reply to others and thread.
