Perhaps they give you hope, they're an innocent worth keeping safe, they showed you unexpected kindness, or they're simply something to cling to. Off the top of my head, unless something works better in her canon (AUing him is easy since he can change worlds), value seems to work well. Fai has very strong magical powers, and I'd imagine being able to instill emotions is a pretty nifty ability.]

Brimstone with the god of the Underworld?

It wasn't every day that the god of Death took time off his packed schedule to greet a newcomer personally, yet this one was a bit of an interest to Hades. After all it wasn't often he ran into such a clever mortal...or technically speaking a former mortal. Still the god did so hate being bored, and boredom was a common affliction among those who lived forever. So when he saw the chance to find some amusement by conversing with his latest new arrival, well the god of the Underworld just couldn't resist.

While Hades was a far cry from the soul stealing monster most mortals thought him to be, he was still a Greek god and thus prone to vanity and pride. Without hesitation his servants rapidly worked to set forth a feast, one worthy of the Underworld's latest acquisition. Granted it took even Hades a moment to sort out his attire, but once seated upon his throne the god nodded for Sherlock to be escorted in. However the moment he laid eyes upon the damage done to his newest soul Hades wrath overtook his enthusiasm.

"Who did this too you?! Speak and I shall see that the guilty party suffers for having inflicted such damage upon one in my care!"
