The Apocalypse Meme

The Apocalypse.
It's the end. No matter where you live, no matter what your world or universe is, the end is now. And you know it. And everybody around you knows it.
There is nothing you can do. You can't stop it, it will come, and it will destroy everything, yourself included.
Now, you only have a couple of hours left. What will you do? Who will you see? Who will you search for? Are you going to call someone you haven't seen in years to apologize? Are you finally going to tell someone the truth you've been hiding? Will you finally confess to that one person you've known you've always loved but never had the courage to come clean about? Or are you going to gather all your friends and have one last beer together, while watching it all come crumbling down through your window?
Will you be alone, in the end?
The Rules:
1; Comment with your character's name and series on the subject line (as well as any preferences you might have).
2; Other characters will reply to yours and play out the scenario above.
3; Feel free to do whatever you like, whatever you think your character would do in this situation. But remember: There's no "fixing" it, everything will end.
4; Profit!
Don't waste a second of the future.
It won't be here for you much longer.

["We" meaning that gossiping about what the heck is wrong with Dipper was something he, Soos, and Wendy did the second Dipper was gone from his seat. Stan had admittedly shrugged the whole thing off.]
Look, there was no reason for possessed by a triangle to be at the top of the list, alright?
no subject
The point is, your portal left a rift behind and Bill got his hands on it despite everything me and Ford were doing to try and fix it and now he's going to destroy the world, probably!
no subject
It didn't, 'cause you wouldn't've said a darn thing anyway and you know it! [It makes him a hypocrite, but he doesn't care right now.] When exactly were you and Ford gonna mention that rift thing, huh? You ever stop and think maybe you should tell someone about that, or that it'd be safer for everyone to be on the same page if the whole family's in danger? Or--! [And he gasps, for show.] How about this crazy idea -- ever think we could've actually helped? That maybe the guy who's had his nose in the first journal for the last thirty years might be able to give you a hand and help keep all this from happening?
[He's being a jerk about it because he already knows the answer - no. They didn't. The two of them always assume he's an idiot, and they probably didn't tell Mabel for similar reasons (or maybe because she might tell him). He's clearly peeved, and he storms ahead so that he's the one leading the way into the woods.]
And why's it my portal whenever something bad happens with it, huh? Ford's the one who built the dumb thing.
no subject
[Not that he expects Stan will understand how much that means to Dipper. If Stan understood how much meeting the Author of the Journals means to Dipper, what gaining his trust and even respect have meant to him, he would never have hidden the first two journals from Dipper. He would have just told Dipper what was going on in the first place.
And really, it's not like Stan has any room to talk. Sure, Dipper's forgiven him for lying about the Author and the Journals. He's forgiven him for the fact that he spent the first part of the summer never admitting the supernatural was real. But that doesn't mean he's forgotten.]

[The more he thinks about it, the more mad he gets. What the hell was Ford thinking? He's a grown-ass man and Stan told him to keep his weird trouble away from the kids. Sure, he didn't tell the kids about the portal, but that was better than roping them into it, telling them to keep the whole thing secret while he made them accomplices to real crimes with real consequences. Dipper's too young to get that now, so of course he'll side with whoever seems to have more faith in him, but taking care of kids means not treating them like they're just tiny adults who can handle anything.]
Look. I love the guy. I do. [It's a lot easier to blurt it out without him present.] But that doesn't mean I trust him with you kids, or the fate of the world, 'cause you know what the problem with know-it-alls is? They want everyone to know it. He's not keepin' secrets 'cause he cares about what happens to anybody - it's c'ause he wants to show off and save the day all by himself with his big ol' brain, and if anything goes wrong he's gonna get himself killed!
[Stan sounds so annoyed, but less because he's outright mad at Ford (though, he definitely is) and more because he's starting to feel like the only adult around. That feels more like a sign of the apocalypse than the red sky above them.]
no subject
He cares. He cares so much. He especially cares about Mabel, and he has no idea if she'll even be okay when they find her.]
Like really, now of all times is when you want to question him? We need him!
no subject
[That's not to say that he wouldn't have gone looking for the kids as soon as he realized something really bad was going on, but as it stands he only came outside because the power went out. It might've taken a while.]
Think about it. If you'd been somewhere else when all this started goin' down, do you really think Ford would've dropped everything to look for Mabel? Or would he've just run off to do whatever the heck it is he's doing now without even thinking about her?
[Stan knows damn well that family is at the bottom of Ford's list of priorities, and he's pretty sure Ford wouldn't even need to think about it, though that might be a lot of bitterness talking. A few weeks ago Stan didn't give a damn if he ripped apart the universe as long as his brother came home, because as far as he's concerned a world without his loved ones isn't a world worth saving anyway.]
The way I see it, we're doin' the important work here.

[Dipper wants to rescue Mabel more than he wants to save the world, but that's because he's not as good at this as Great Uncle Ford. If he were really a big hero, like Ford is, he wouldn't have to think about it. He'd go save the world first. He wouldn't have even tried to save Ford from alien prison while the rift was still putting everyone in danger.
Mabel's holding him back, Ford would say. If she wasn't here, he wouldn't have to question where his place in all of this was. He'd be saving the world with Ford while Mabel was safely at home in Piedmont. He can't deny that would be better.]
/LIVES VICARIOUSLY THROUGH THIS THREAD SINCE STAN IS DEFINITELY MISSING FROM THE WEIRDPOCALYPSE NOW
[Stan doesn't stop to elaborate though. He just groans. They really don't have time for this right now.]
Look, just...c'mon, we gotta find Mabel. Where would she be hiding from all this? We haven't got all day! [Dipper knows that though - it's why they're still moving, but they need somewhere to go, somewhere to look.]
CRIES POOR STAN
[Their fight couldn't have been so bad that that's changed, right? They've always had each others' backs, even when they were fighting. But they've never had a fight like this.]
But she couldn't have gone that far! She would have found me by now! Which means something's seriously wrong!
I'M SURE HE'S....FINE......
Panicking isn't going to help anyone though, and he can tell Dipper's starting to freak out, so he sighs and tones down the annoyance.]
Calm down. One problem at a time. For now we've just gotta find her as quick as possible, and with two of us lookin' it'll be a piece of cake. [No, it won't, but it's the kind of lie you tell to pump someone up, to make them feel like they can conquer anything.] She's gonna be fine, Dipper. We're gonna make sure of that.
no subject
I mean, to cover more ground. That's what people always do in horror movies and it's always a dumb idea.
[And he's already missing one family member. Well, two, but Ford can take care of himself better than anyone else in Gravity Falls and Dipper isn't worried. Not at all. Ford has to be fine and so do Soos and Wendy they just... he'll find them after he finds Mabel and saves the world. But he doesn't want to let Stan out of his sight. He doesn't want to lose him too.]
no subject
Hey, nobody said anything about splitin' up. You're not gettin' rid of me that easy. You and me are sticking together, and if one of us misses somethin' the other'll be there to spot it. [He laughs a little, and points up at his glasses.] With my cataracts I could really use another pair of eyes around.
[Granted he's always exaggerating exactly how bad they are, but he figures Dipper will feel better if he feels useful. Besides, the sky's red and the world may or may not be ending. There's no way in hell Stan is going to ditch Dipper right now. The kid's in way over his head and frankly Ford shouldn't have let him run off on his own either.]
no subject
I just don't understand where she could have gone. She ran out of the shack just a few minutes ago.
no subject
Just means she's gotta be around here somewhere, right? C'mon.
[He nods ahead of them, gesturing that they should get going, and starts off again.]
no subject
[He shakes his head, looking away as he follows Grunkle Stan.]
We just need to find her.
[He can explain again. Say something do something, make it right between them. He has to be able to do that. He has to find her.]
no subject
[She was having a terrible day. Stan knows that much about what's going on at least. It doesn't surprise him much that they fought under those circumstances.]
Hey, it could be important. It might help us figure out where the heck she went, or somethin'.
no subject
[The idea that this could have been it, the final straw that drove her away, a fight that even their bond couldn't fix, he can't even allow himself to think about. This is too big for her to stay away. This is something they can only fix together.]
no subject
Maybe she turned around before all this happened and went into town. She ain't much of a "wallow alone" kinda kid.
[Maybe she went to go cry on Grenda and Candy. That's not to say she's still doing that, but maybe they're heading in completely the wrong direction looking for her.
Either way though - it ain't good that she's not turning up now.]
no subject
But he also... doesn't think she could have gotten much further than this. So he nods.]
Okay. We can check there.
