THE AUTUMN MEME

It's that time of year again; Autumn.
Whether it's raking the leaves or running to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte,

the season is back upon us and it's time to enjoy it before winter comes.
 

Scenarios: 
Look at all the pretty colors - Maybe you just feel like strolling down the street and looking at all the leaves turning colors. Maybe you're shopping for something to fit in with the autumn theme. Or you could be setting up an easel to try to capture how the trees look like they're on fire. Just enjoy the turning shades.

I didn't agree to be in this movie -Yes, it's that time again, fog time. It can be creepy or beautiful or both and guess what? You're trapped in it. Are you alone? Are you at home looking out the windows, or stuck somewhere waiting for it to clear so you can drive? Maybe you're walking home late at night and the fog is as creepy as hell and was that the sound of someone sharpening an axe?

Something to warm the cockles - Coffee house prompt. You want your pumpkin spice latte and you want it now. Or maybe you want extra nutmeg. Or maybe someone made a pumpkin cheesecake and you want the line to move faster before someone gets the last piece. You're in a coffee house and there's coffee. Have fun with that.

I just raked that - Yes, it's lawncare time. You've been ordered to clean up your yard and make nice efficient piles. Or maybe you're strolling down the street and you happen to see a nice pile just begging you to jump in. Or push your friend. Or maybe someone's dog or cat is hiding in one and is ready to jump out and scare the crap out of you. Only one way to find out.

But it's only so many days until Halloween - Oh. You're one of those. The ones that love Halloween and start setting things up as soon as there's a slight briskness to the air. Well, time to go shopping. Or maybe you need to start setting up the decorations in the window. Or the yard. Or buying candy to appease the inevitable hordes. Halloween comes but once a year, so get ready for it while you can.

Wildcard - There are plenty of autumn activities to do. Make some up on your own, be it strolling with a friend or curling up with someone special and enjoying something sweet

[ eleanor had insisted on stopping at the starbucks. she was high and suddenly craving anything and everything pumpkin. her driver was used to it all by now, he hadn't even batted an eyelash at her request.

the barista had though, especially when eleanor had bought all the pumpkin baked goods and had ordered five venti pumpkin spice lattes - without the coffee. what made him whip out his phone for instagram though was when she lept over the counter and grabbed the bottle of pumpkin flavouring and began to drink it.

it was on her way out - which wasn't really willing, it was more her security detail trying to drag her out (but the pumpkin!) before she created some sort of incident that she rammed right into him, all tall and eyebrows. ]

Don't you know who I am?! [ her brow is furrowed, though that's more because the light fucking hurts than her being annoyed. where the hell were her sunglasses?! she frowns and takes another swig of flavouring. ] You should be bowing, I could have you arrested! I could!

[Somehow, she always ended up around popular rich girls...not that she's complaining mind you, but at this point it's three for three. Maybe it's karma for being poor as hell.

[ "Coolness" is something that will become quite literal if Ranmaru keeps wearing that outfit. Mitsuru adjusts her sunglasses and proceeds to walk through the doors of the swanky department store, confident that the other will follow her. ]

You'll freeze to death wearing that outfit. Have you never considered that?

[This must be how the phrase 'too shounen to live' took off.

But she does follow, geta making enough noise against the floor to draw attention from pretty much everyone in the store. She looks so out of her element here, but she doesn't really pay attention to it.]

Enduring the harshness of winter is just one of the ways a woman can test her fortitude.

[ This kind of hardheaded attitude she expected with Akihiko. He went around spouting the same things, with bandages wrapped round his arms and wearing nothing but trousers and a cape. That was the outfit he apparently wrestled bears in the dead of winter in.

She gets that it's a certain lifestyle.

But Ran isn't living in the mountains. She's living in an urban city with the latest conveniences and best of all, no bears. ]

[This, he's at home with. Fog everywhere! Adachi doesn't mind not being able to see. He's just sitting under a lamppost, a barely visible shape in the dim road, tossing his gun from hand to hand and waiting to see who walks past.

Being out of jail might not be as boring as he thought.]

[ Mitsuru tenses when she sees the stalking figure in the fog. She's a slight distance away and it makes her uneasy. Placing a hand on the hilt of her rapier, she takes a step forward - small, but a step forward. ]

[ She tilts her head in an elegant manner, so that her hair shifts from off her shoulder as she ponders the question. There were usually parties around Halloween where people dressed up, weren't there?

Not like she ever participated in them. ]

[ Fog is a fixture up at the Barrett-Crowley, where ghosts and demons sit side by side with heavenly beings and nature sprites the minute one stepped out and beyond the campus doors. The school, perched at the top of a mountain somewhere in the ballsack of "maybe it's Europe?" is also perpetually cold.

Marco hasn't felt true sunlight in years.

So when the senior class finally got the permission to go to Canada - with a chaperon, but still - Marco prepared himself for rays and possible sunscreen. No one told him about Canada being the other cold butthole of the world, unfortunately.

He sits with the rest of his class inside a cafe as a thin fog rolls along the streets. Back on campus, a simple cast would clear it from the roads, but the use of magic is not permitted around the non-magical, so the fog progresses on at a turtle's speed.
