There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life.

But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor?

They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?"

Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Perhaps you'd prefer to play the actual Beauty and The Beast-style getting to know each other or seeing behind the grizzly facade. What about an attempted "rescue?" Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. You could even do smut if you wanted to, but this isn't a smut meme.

[ It had been a stroke of luck, indeed. Having a princess-esque role in a fairytale land was boring, and no princes really had the qualities Katsura wanted in a man (one of them evidently being fur). So, when a giant, handsome beast grabbed him and carried him off into the woods, he didn't really see any reason to protest. So strong, Beast-kun! So manly! Ah, it almost made his heart melt. ]

[ So of course, he spends the following days getting settled in the castle, completely oblivious to the fact that his kidnapper looks both taken aback by his gender and increasingly terrified of him. This means they're going to get married, right? Katsura even takes to singing princess-esque songs to the furniture and tableware which seem to be alive for some reason. Well, they're less princess songs and more melodic tunes from tampon commercials on TV, but it's the spirit that counts and it's not like his audience is familiar with either. ]

[ He also cleans, cooks (fried rice. it's always fried rice) and takes any chance he can to touch Beast, whether it's trying to pull him into a dance or sneaking up on him to try and sensually stroke his vest. A disaster, truly. ]

[ And he thought library was safe. ]

[ Roughly ten minutes later, a weepy but happy looking Katsura slides down the ladder from top of the bookshelf and throws himself into Beast's arms, still holding a book. Kind of wiggling it. ]

Beast-kun, you have some amazing literature here! Why, my heart has never been so moved before. Don't tell me you haven't read this one?

[he thought the library was safe. alas, he's wrong. everything is wrong. he's made so many mistakes. keeping katsura was the biggest one of all.

he should've let katsura hit the floor, but he didn't. even if he's unwanted, it's been suggested to him that katsura is still a guest, and more importantly, he could break the spell. highly unconventional, and certainly not the way he wanted to go about things, but he's running out of options. besides, even if he replaces katsura with a woman he could kidnap, katsura will just come back anyway. he's sure of that much.

still, he's uncomfortable with everything about this, and gently sets katsura down before putting a fair amount of distance between them.]

I don't read. [well, there's that.]

[ He will come back anyway and there's no guarantee that freshly kidnapped woman will be into it as much as he is, if at all. That's the beauty of curses like that, right? ]

[ He blushes gently when Beast-kun catches him - what a gentleman! and carefully puts him down instead of running wild with his beastly urges and carrying him off into his chambers. Not that Katsura would particularly oppose that. Still, good manners is one of the ways to his heart or something. ]

[ He gasps, clasping a hand over his heart. ]

Ah? Why not? With such a treasure trove at your disposal -- oh! Don't tell me! Has nobody taught you to?
