The Monster & the Maiden Fair

There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life.
But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor?
They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?"
how to play
- Comment with your character, your preference, and what role they'll play. Feel free to AU characters to your desire role.
- Reply to others.
- Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Perhaps you'd prefer to play the actual Beauty and The Beast-style getting to know each other or seeing behind the grizzly facade. What about an attempted "rescue?" Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. You could even do smut if you wanted to, but this isn't a smut meme.

That said, the room around them has a lot of things. It's all in one room, but there's a kitchenette in one corner, a couch next to a coffee table and two armchairs which are all around a hearth, and then a bed in the other far corner. Many nitnacks around the room outside of that and on the walls. There's obviously electricity (the fan and overhead light show that) and windows to look out into the woods, but there isn't much in the way of electronics other than that light and a lamp next to the bed. ]
I can't tell you that.
no subject
her eyes dart around the room, searching for something she use in case one of those terrible outcomes starts to come true. the lamp? the poker by the fire? something from the kitchen? he'll probably snap her wrist anyway, but it's worth a shot.
not yet, though. maybe she can get some answers out of him first...]
You can't even tell me what we're in? [it's a cabin, but is it his? is it part of something bigger? is she going to feel bad if she trashes it?] Then... what do you want from me?
no subject
no subject
I'm asking because I don't know. I don't even know why you have me! I didn't do anything to you. So you [she swats at his chest and huffs] should lay off, and answer me instead.
[there's a voice in her head that tells her that was a very bad idea, but she's not going to back down. not yet.]
no subject
You're less of a cow and more of a badger, aren't you? Okay, I'll bite. [ And his toothy grin really. Doesn't go well with that. ]
You're here because my organization - which represents Justice - knows a certain criminal is going to come out here to find you, knowing we've got you. But in order for the plan to work, I can't tell you where here is. In case, of course, you're actually a criminal.
[ But he seems to salivate a little at the idea of her being ... a criminal... ]
no subject
she listens to him, opening her eyes as she takes a few deep breaths to steady herself, looking back at him with a glare, trying to yank her wrist from his grip.] You've got the wrong girl! [and for all her ferocity, her voice still shakes.] I don't know any criminals, and whoever you're trying to get won't come for me. [but what if no one at all did? would they let her go? would she be stuck here forever?]
no subject
But, if that sinful body somehow doesn't get their jimmies jumping up to try and get you back, then we'll just have to change the plan. As long as you're innocent, you have nothing to worry about from my Justice.
no subject
No one is coming for me. [her tone is threatening, but all she's done is scare herself a little more. who are they even trying to get? she can't even imagine anyone she knows being a criminal, or in love with her, or willing to save her... it doesn't make any sense. they absolutely kidnapped the wrong blonde. her expression shifts into something less fierce for a moment, her thoughts twisting it into something worried and almost sad, but she catches herself, and she scowls once more.]
Well, I am innocent, but it doesn't feel like I'm safe from you.
no subject
either way, he shrugs ]
But if he doesn't come for you, then we'll just return you. Though it does prove he's without fangs.
no subject
she glances to him, and crosses her arms.] Are you going to stay here?
no subject
[ It's said with some humor, as if there's s a cruel joke in there. But as he says it, he also blatantly checks her out again. ]
no subject
she keeps her finger against his chest, but all her fierce words have vanished. instead, her cheeks go a bit pink, and she tries to figure out why she's not exactly disgusted. why is she not disgusted?!] That... that won't be necessary.
no subject
Don't turn into some demure mare on me. [ Hahaha ] Or should we skip the introductions, and give some shame to that target of ours?
no subject
she presses herself against him-- she's never been afraid of any man's arousal-- and sneers at him.] If you think I'm anything close to demure, you're mistaken. [she stays there for a moment, her chest against his, her eyes locked on him, then steps away from him, turning her back to him as she crosses her arms.] And if you're expecting me to give you anything, try again. You'd need much more than introductions to have a shot with me.
no subject
Hnn, so you're a fox, after all - some sly vixen, seducing the just and unjust alike. That's what I thought in the first place - what a shame to have theor cowtits on you.
[ He himself sneers at her back, laughing to himself at the irony. Alas, that he can't unleash his Justice ]
no subject
You make an awful lot of assumptions about me. And not one of them has been right so far. Do you think insulting me is going to win me over? [she runs her hand through her hair slowly, brushing it away from her neck as her fingertips trace down the side of her neck to her collarbone.]
no subject
[ He laughs at this, regaining his cool. She's toying with him... she's taunting him. Oh sure, he might be hard, he might be throbbing. He might be ready to make a move, but instead, he adjusts his glasses again. He licks his lips. ]
Did you think you wee in a fairy tale? With legs and a rack like that - you sure aren't in some pretty dress.
no subject
No, I didn't. I'm not stupid enough to think that this is anything more than a nightmare. I'm not a princess, and you're not a knight in shining armour.
[he might be right about her being a vixen, though. she lifts her arms over her head to stretch, arching her back slightly with a soft groan. if he's going to call her name, then she's going to make that erection of his worse. it's all fair.]
no subject
Knights aren't all that great anyway. Their personal agendas and quests sure aren't Justice.
[ But he then becomes a bit more of himself, reaching up one hand to stroke his beard. ]
But if you're not a princess, who are you, vixen?
no subject
[she crosses her arms and juts her hip out to the side, thinking for a moment on how to respond. when she finds her voice again, she turns her head towards him, and rests her chin against her shoulder.]
Milly. Milly Ashford. [and there's more to her, and more she would say, but it doesn't matter all that much right now.] And who are you?
no subject
Juusui Date. I'm from the Kagome Organization.
[ No one would have ever heard of them, but. ]
And if you're as strong as you present, shouldn't you believe in yourself?
no subject
What would like me to call you? [his name was a bit of a mystery to her, like all japanese names were. given name, family name? mr. date? juusui? A Mystery. better to ask than to assume wrongly and have him laugh at her. or worse... who knew.
standing a little bit taller and facing forward again, her arms fall away from her, fingertips meeting to brush against each other.]
I do believe in myself. But sometimes, that's not enough.
no subject
[ For his part, he shrugs, looking her over, and keeping his eyes timed on her, evenly enough for having a huge raging hard on and adjusting his glasses a little to better look down at her. But while he said it like that, he then paused, tilted his head somewhat, and - ]
You could call me Date.
no subject
[her voice is calm and honest, but a bit softer. but if he wants to see courage, hers is in small doses. like her taking a deep breath and slowly turning to face him without fear. somehow, a name makes him less of a monster and more of a person. not one she likes, but one she doesn't have to fight constantly.]
Date it is. [she looks him in the eye, her heart racing and still a bit nervous, holding her breath for a moment. part of her feels like this is going to backfire, that he's going to laugh, but she won't flinch. she'll hold her own.]
no subject
[ Vixen. He probably won't call her by name but he's going to give her that option to spell it out ]
