She raised an eyebrow at the praise but hands him the tray. "I'll take goddess as a title. Scoot over a little. You're taking up the whole bed."

"You could fit, you just have to snuggle in close," he teased, but he did actually shuffle up to give her more room.

Winry wriggled into the bed next to him, snuggling. "I'm close! You're still a bed hog." Teasing right back.

"Maybe I just want to be as close to you as possible" he said with mock-sincerity, giving her his best puppy eyes.

Oh, the puppy dog eyes. So cute there, Dick. Winry smiles at him, leaning her shoulder into his. "You always know the right thing to say."

"I am just naturally charming," he grinned, leaning over to kiss her on the cheek before turning his attention to the breakfast.

"I wouldn't go so far as to say 'naturally'." Winry reached for her glass, taking a sip. "Charming, yes. Naturally athletic? I'll give you that one. Very attractive? Definitely. A lot of trouble? That's where you're probably most natural!"

"...I could disagree with that, but I won't," he chuckled. After all, she kind of had a point - not just all the good stuff, because obviously he was going to agree with that - but he was pretty troublesome. He was just glad she put up with it.

Winry smirked. She'd won this round but there'd be another one later and she could just as well lose that one.

"You know, you probably ought to get that wound looked at. Did you say one of your...family...was a doctor? Have you had your tetanus shot recently?"

"All my shots are up to date," he smiled slightly "But you're right. We do have a.. family doctor that we can call on, I'll get her to take a look at it and make sure it's going to heal okay. I'm sure you did a good job on it though."

"Thank you."

It would make sense Dick's shots were up to date, really, but Winry doesn't take things like that for granted. Not like she didn't know anyone who avoided injections due to fear of needles.

"I'm glad there's someone you can go to." Besides her, she meant.

"Yea, Leslie's great, she's saved our asses a lot of times," he nodded in between bites of food "I'll head over to her after breakfast and she can take a look"

"Good. In case you do need stitches. And you're taking a cab - not...however you got to my balcony!" Winry didn't want Dick to open that wound up again.

"I've got civvies now, so no running across rooftops, I promise." At least not until Leslie gave him the all-clear and he got a clean uniform, anyway.

"Good. I don't want you to fall down in front of a crazy driver or something. I don't think I could patch that up."

Well. Possibly she could but Winry didn't think Dick would appreciate prosthetics, no matter how amazing she could build them.

"I'll stay as safe as I can, I promise," he told her, leaning in to kiss her on the cheek. It was nice to have someone worrying about him, however much he could take care of himself, it let him know she cared.

Winry did care. She hated anyone she cared about being hurt - she could patch people up and build new arms and legs, but keeping people from being hurt wasn't a bad thing, either. And Dick's job reminded her of other jobs of another boyfriend in the past and how much trouble he got into.

"I'm glad to hear it. I know the streets are dangerous and now I have more reason to worry - that you'll be out there, getting into trouble."

She touched his cheek after he kissed her. Dick could be an amazingly sweet person. It was part of what attracted her to him.

"Hey," he said softly, taking her hand and squeezing it "They are dangerous, but that's why we fight, so that they can be safer for everybody. I've got backup, I'll be okay, I promise."

It was a dangerous job, a very dangerous job, and he knew she wasn't stupid enough to accept what he said at face value, not when he'd stumbled in here with a stomach wound last night, but he at least hoped he could reassure her a little bit. He hated the thought of her sitting alone just worrying about him.
