But then Jane and Dick have never had to use words to really communicate what they wanted to. It's done more with looks and glances and hands brushing skin and eyebrows. If they're being honest, whenever Gansey opens his mouth, that ruins things more than it helps.

They call each other in the middle of the night, talk about nothing. He comes to pick her up and they drive around Henrietta some nights.

It's maybe a minor miracle that no one knows about them, except Noah but he seems to know a lot of things, given how loud the Pig is and how not subtle she is in color and how Gansey spends less and less time at Monmouth in the night than he did before. But then so does Ronan and he actually has suspicions about that, about where he's going but he keeps them to himself.

Sometimes he thinks about telling Helen about it, because his sister has always been involved in his life, and would probably have amazing date ideas but then he remembers that Helen is nothing like Blue and what she'd like, Jane would hate. And then he really doesn't want Helen texting him borderline inappropriate questions about his sex life with her.

So dates. What would Jane even like to go on a date? Can't go to dinner, because she hates when he buys her things and a meal counts as that. They roam around Henrietta like nomads already. Going to Cabeswater for a picnic also runs the chance of going in the wrong time and also angering her based on money.
