That is, if the object of your affection doesn't figure you out first.

[Thor was used to having eyes on him most of the time while wandering around Midgard. While the Avengers were more or less used to his presence by now, the general population still gawked and pointed at the alien strolling amongst them as if he belonged there just as much as they did. Nonetheless, stares were easy to ignore for someone who had once been the crown prince of an entire realm.

He didn't expect to feel someone watching him while he sat down for breakfast in the Avengers Tower, however. Tony had hosted a party the previous evening and Thor was one of the few feeling well enough to awaken so early and bother preparing something to eat. The kitchen should be quiet and empty save for himself... but no, someone was clearly there.

How odd.

Perhaps he was imagining it. Nobody seemed to be there when he glanced over his shoulder, though he admittedly didn't bother with a thorough investigation. The food before him was much too interesting, so he dug in after shrugging off the feeling of being watched. Perhaps if someone was there they would make themselves known if he wasn't actively checking the doorway.]

[ Early winter really is one of her favorite times of year. Even though the weather is much colder and nature's colors have become much more muted there are lots of good things about the season that can't be appreciated as easily in autumn, summer, or spring. The crisp bite in the air is actually sort of refreshing and helps her clear her thoughts. People seem more excited because they know that the holidays are just around the corner. The first snow fall is also something she's looking forward to.

She's out early to do some holiday shopping, bundled up in coat, scarf, and gloves. Having received a surprise bonus for her extra efforts at work she'd in Kyoto in search of something specific when a bright splash of familiar color catches her eye.

It's far more complicated than it should be. For someone as earnestly straight forward as her the hang up in this situation lies more in her obliviousness to her own feelings than anything else. At the very least she might have worked up the courage to make a decision- possibly confessed for better or worse by now.

But no, so far as Tohru is aware her feelings of admiration aren't of any sort of romantic persuasion.

They don't attend the same school. They don't share mutual friends, though she has met some of his classmates and one of his teammates. Still the only reason they'd met directly at all was by chance, a small (harmless) accidental run in at one of the buildings his family owned. She'd been working her part time job and he happened to be stopping by. She didn't know why, and it was neither her business nor her place to ask, but right from the start there had been something about him that caught her attention and drew in her curiosity.

It's actually by chance that she runs into him now as well, a very happy coincidence so far as she's concerned. There's no hesitation in her approach, a cheerful smile matched by a polite greeting. ]
