Blind Date meme

The Blind Date meme. Pretty self-explanatory. No matter how awkward and unexpected they might be, there is always something exciting about them. Who is your company for the evening going to be? Will it be a person of your innermost dreams or someone you absolutely can't stand? And most importantly...
How are you going to handle it?
What do:
1. Post with your character! They're now in the middle of a blind date.
2. Comment to each other! When you do that...
3. Go to Random.org and roll a single die!
1.4. Play out the date. This meme can be completely fluffy, smutty, or hilarious. If you don't want smut, you can put that in your subject. It doesn't even have to be romantic.First date-- You've never been out on a date before, so someone's decided to give you a helping hand.
2.On the rebound-- You're recovering from a painful breakup, but your friends/family think they found a great person for you anyway.
3.Not strangers at all-- Someone thought you didn't know your date. Turns out you know them from somewhere.
4.Hideously awkward-- Hey wait, that's your ex/boss/doctor/distant family member! Or, even worse, it's that person you absolutely despise. This will go well!
5.Existing partner-- You two are just acting like strangers to spice up your love life.
6.Future spouse-- Unfortunately, you have to have an arranged marriage. Fortunately, you get to meet that special someone for a date beforehand. How will the night go?
7. ...or, instead of rolling, come up with your own scenario!

"Why all the concern?" It was a thin bluff, but most of her's were. She wasn't the sort who needed to lie often. "And if I was? Not sure that's any business of yours." Her chin lifted a little, she could stand up to him, or call his bluff and have a seat. Given the weakness in her knees taking a seat sounded like a safer bet.
no subject
"Doubting my sincerity now?" She didn't actually expect a straight answer, did she? Tsk.
"Maybe I'm making it my business. Since I'm buying."
no subject
"Let's just say I'm watching my own back." C'mon big boy, you'd be thoroughly disappointed in her if she just straight up trusted you wouldn't you?
"Really? Funny because usually it's the date that," Oh fuck. She shook her head and sucked air through her teeth.
"You?"
no subject
"Keeping all the fun to yourself, huh?" There's just an edge of a leer in his face, as if daring her to slap him.
Yeah, funny that. The date. "You were expecting someone, what? Prettier?" Sorry to disappoint. Except not.
no subject
"Fun like you'll never know" She kicked his foot away from the offered chair, none too gently, and sat herself on down.
"If I knew what I was expecting I probably wouldn't have showed up, but hey it's not the first time you were a surprise is it?"
no subject
But he grins, as she takes the seat. Not going anywhere. "Don't trust yourself to behave around me, is that it?" What can he say? He brings out the wild side in everyone.
no subject
"Between the two of us, which do you think I trust more?" She could always trust him to keep her guessing though, he seemed to be gleeful about it sometimes. She waved over a waitress and ordered a whiskey.
no subject
She's a fact. He's tempted. That's also a fact.
"Got a high bar for trust. Hnff. I like it." Not as high as Riddick's, but high enough.
no subject
He's dangerous, she knows it. Also a fact.
"Trust is different with the light on." Oh, well now that had levels didn't it?
no subject
Still, he can't not respect her. Not after what he's seen her do.
And he is dangerous. And he knows she knows it. The question is...is she tempted by facts, also?
He suspects so.
"Depends on how bright the light is." Bright enough to blind him, and, yeah, he's got his own trust issues.
no subject
She might have a hard time believing he respected her, but she knew she respected him. Proved her was a better man than Johns. Maybe the same way one respects a noble predator, with that edge of fear mixed in with it.
Fear has edges to it, fear is all about blood pumping, ragged breathing, sweat slicked skin and in her case had been some pretty damned close quarter with him. Yeah, there is temptation, it's what makes him more dangerous.
"Or how dark it is without it." Two sides of the same coin, dangerous in different ways to each of them.
no subject
Which isn't, honestly, that much of a compliment, come to think of it.
"You did well enough in the dark." There, that's better. A real compliment, at least for Riddick.
no subject
"I've done better, just not with you." And there was the tip off, the slight oh so sly upturn at the corner of her serious lips before they hid behind the rim of her glass. Her eyes stayed steady on him though.
no subject
And did she really...? He takes in the curve of her smile, which kindles something someplace even below the burn of the whiskey he's been drinking. "Trying to make me jealous, now? Can't really say we had a chance."
no subject
"You can't get jealous, but I think you can get curious." Jealousy would imply feelings and attachment, or ownership. None of those were things she considered he'd waste his energy on. She had finally managed to push his buttons. She leaned across the table, her voice dropping softer. "Isn't that interesting?"
no subject
"I think I can do both." He was a god among the necromongers, did he ever tell you that? Pretty sure he can multitask bad boyfriend behavior. He sits back, letting his shoulders hit the back of the chair hard. "I think I like being 'interesting'." Tell him more, Fry. Flatter him.
no subject
"I don't see you as the jealous type." She clucked her tongue and for a long moment just stared at him. A few more scars than she remembered, he looked more worn. "Always picked you as the guy who took what he wanted. Especially at first, when Johns told me about you. He made it a hell of a story."
But that wasn't all of him was it? He wasn't an animal, he just tuned into the animal inside. "You have this fucked up code, your own morality or rules." She eased back and shook her head. "I don't know if anyone could ever understand it but you." But it was there, for better or worse, it made Riddick unpredictable.
