Love and shipping memes are nice, but sometimes, they take themselves waaaay too seriously. You know what's just as fun? Playing first loves and first silly, silly crushes. [Jon hadn't noticed the young woman dining with them within the castle of Winterfell. His father was sitting with his wife and Jon's sisters and brothers were at the table eating. He was focused more on the young woman sitting across from him than his dinner. He didn't even know who she was but she was beautiful, he knew that much.]

[Lorna smiled sheepishly when she realized he was looking at her, and hoped that he hadn't been offended by her staring. She couldn't help herself. He was handsome, polite, mysterious. But it would have been rude to just keep staring at him, so she forced herself to say something, in spite of her own blushing.]

[Jon didn't know how to behave in front of lords and ladies. Of course, his mother and father had brought him up properly, mainly his father, but he knew how to show manners where need be. It was just that he was the black sheep of the family and his brother Robb acted better around nobles. He just smiled shyly and nodded his head.]

[Lorna didn't always behave like a lady, herself, having been raised without a mother or sisters after whom she might have modeled her actions. She'd had a Septa, of course, but that was hardly the same thing. If Jon had met her when she was a few years younger, she would have probably been a lot like his sister, Arya.

Now, in front of so many people, though, she smiled bashfully, and nodded her head.]

[He didn't know what to say right now, as he was useless with making conversation with girls. Especially girls. With a man you could talk about fighting, battles, drink and, well, girls. But, with a noble lady you had to be polite and not talk about offensive subjects.]

[Lorna liked to think she would not have been easily offended, but she had quite enjoyed having a chance to see new places, and was happy to describe the journey from her Grandfather's home to Winterfell for him.]

Do you like to travel?

[Travel? If she meant did he enjoy travelling up to the Wall, then it was a mixed feeling. He did enjoy seeing new sights but to see the huge, towering Wall everyday made him feel tiny, insignificant.]

I do sometimes. I like visiting new places and seeing what they have to offer.
