Hug Meme
HUG MEME
- Put up a thread with your character, fandom, and any prefs (if applicable) and wait for someone to tag in with hugs!
- Go to other threads, either pick the number you want or go to RNG.
1. Friendly hug - this person is your good pal, and you just wanna give them a fond squeeze to let them know.
2. Romantic hug - you just want to be closer, so wrap your arms around them, maybe rub their back some...
3. Bear hug - maybe you haven't seen them in a while, so how about a giant hug that lifts them off their feet
4. Hug from behind - surprise them, guess who?! or maybe they're having a bad day, cheer them up.
5. Awkward hug - maybe it's on accident, but whatever the case is, you can't help but feel a little nervous about hugging them.
6. Reluctant hug - whoever this person is, you have to hug them, better make it quick!
7. "I'm sorry!" hug - actions speak louder than words, will this person get the message?
8. Give a little extra hug - give them a kiss with it, cheek, shoulder nuzzle, whatever - but let the hug linger a little!
9. Don't WANT a hug - make them see sense! Cling, and don't let go for anything oohcookiegimme! - if you're the hugged, try to get loose. Or maybe you'll give in!
10. Random or other kind of hug - pick the choice you like best, or make up your own

Makoto smiled down at Nagisa, as cute as ever.
"How did you find me so quickly?"
no subject
"My cousin is getting married, and she wants my sisters to be bridesmaids, can you believe it?" He wrinkles his nose in distaste. "Apparently there's some kind of famous boutique near here. So I let them drag me along dress shopping, and ditched 'em as soon as soon as they were all distracted."
Nagisa glances up, feeling just a little lightheaded at the way Mako looks at him. Always so gentle.
"I don't think they've noticed yet, so technically I'm still risking my life."
no subject
Makoto's smile widened. "While you're here, what would you like to do?"
no subject
He's cheered, though, by the fact that there's more or less an invitation to Mako's apartment in his words. And he's being given free reign to choose what happens next.
"I'll take the train back later, so... treat me to lunch?" He winks, trying to be cute enough to cover up the fact that he's blatantly being a mooch. "Something good."
no subject
Makoto winked, knowing that more than any guilt trip would get Nagisa on his side. Food was the way to his young friend's heart.

His fingers tapped away at the phone a little more roughly than strictly necessary for a moment, with a quiet declaration of "There" once he was satisfied. He held up the phone to let Mako see a message addressed to Harpy #2:
"Ran into an old friend so I'm having an early lunch. Don't let Nana-chan pick purple, it clashes with her skintone. xo"
He beamed up at Mako, hoping the little dig at the end didn't hurt his chances. "So. Udon, you said?"
no subject
"Mmm! It really is the best - even Haru enjoyed it because they had saba on the menu."
Beaming, Makoto guided Nagisa towards the edge of campus. "It's not too far. Do you mind if we walk? How are things in Iwatobi?"
no subject
"Walking is fine!" He latched onto Mako's arm with both of his own, humming contentedly. "Tourism has picked up a bit more this year. That onsen up north was featured in a travel magazine, so there are a lot more people than usual." He rambled on for a bit, providing little details about the usual places, the usual people. When he found himself more or less out of relevant news, he glanced up with an almost self-conscious expression. "When can you come home to visit next? I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses you."
no subject
"Mm, well, my mother's been bugging me about it, too, and I wanted to see you and Rei while I was out. Maybe in a couple weekends? I have some tests I have to study for, but after those, I'll come out. How's that?"
no subject
"That's perfect!" Nagisa pulled even closer to Mako, and if anyone was staring, he was completely unaware. "You're the best, Mako-chan. I'll start planning something really fun right away."
no subject
"Mm, and Sousuke, Ai, and Momo, maybe? Like old times? Except for Rin. Doubt he'll be flying back this soon."
no subject
"That would be nice, huh? Haru-chan will definitely come if you ask him to." Nagisa's brief pout hinted at the results he'd gotten trying to convince Haru to visit. "It's too bad about Rin-chan, but if we get the time zones right, maybe we can get him on a video call!"

Leading Nagisa through Tokyo, they finally came to the udon shop, and they arrived at a perfect time; two tables were free in the back.
"This is my favorite. It's not far from my place, so I come often. Their pork udon is probably my favorite, not to be outdone by their beautiful desserts." Makoto, too, was a fan of snacking, although he preferred chocolate to strawberry. "What should I get you?"
no subject
He felt a fire light inside of him at the word "desserts." As if Mako could be any more perfect, he really thought of everything. Nagisa resolved to even pay for that part himself. As fun as it is to be treated, some things qualify for "sacred debt of gratitude" status.
"I'll trust your recommendation! Pork udon it is."
no subject
Makoto easily ordered two pork udon and then considered the variety of freshly baked pastries as well, wondering which Nagisa might enjoy most. There was no forgetting his penchant for sweet things, so he ordered an iced strawberry sweet bun for him, as well as a chocolate bun for himself. And no, he wasn't letting Nagisa pay for this. Makoto was happy to treat him. Especially since Nagisa was so far from Iwatobi and had risked his life just to see Makoto.
He returned to the table and sat across from Nagisa. "Should only be a few minutes. So, your cousin is getting married? That's exciting!"
no subject
When Mako sat opposite him, Nagisa leaned in, elbows on the table and face in his hands. "Mmhmm. It's not until the fall, but I'm looking forward to it." Something even Nagisa's sisters couldn't ruin. "I like parties."
no subject
"I hope it's okay, I ordered you a tea to drink," he added, as the waiter came with their tray of food: two huge bowls of udon, two teas, and the treats.
no subject
When the food came, Nagisa gasped audibly. Tea, sure sure, whatever, his focus was on that strawberry bun as if it had some gravitational pull on him. "Mako-chan... did you...?"
no subject
no subject
"Me too," Nagisa muttered, voice quieter than usual but no less full of joy. "Thank you for remembering, Mako-chan."
no subject
With a shake of his head, he finished off his bun in a few bites, sort of wishing he'd bought two but university had really made eating poorly very, very easy, so he should probably start on his dinner instead. The pork udon was just as good as ever; Makoto didn't even need to add spices.
no subject
The broth was rich and nearly as tasty. Nagisa kicked his legs a little in excitement. "Amazing," he said between bites, enraptured. "I love Tokyo."

"I'm applying to all the same places as Rei-chan," he admitted, hoping Mako would understand that it wasn't so much laziness as the fear of being even lonelier. "I'm only going to be doing gen ed stuff for the first two years anyway, so it doesn't matter so much where. As long as I actually get in somewhere." Nagisa stuck out his tongue briefly, a half-hearted attempt to hide the very real apprehension behind is words.
no subject
"Well, you've got plenty of time, and there are so many great schools in Japan."
Makoto wasn't sure why, but thinking of Nagisa following Rei sort of gave him a lump in his stomach. He tried to convince himself it was just the salt from the udon.
