Hug Meme
HUG MEME
- Put up a thread with your character, fandom, and any prefs (if applicable) and wait for someone to tag in with hugs!
- Go to other threads, either pick the number you want or go to RNG.
1. Friendly hug - this person is your good pal, and you just wanna give them a fond squeeze to let them know.
2. Romantic hug - you just want to be closer, so wrap your arms around them, maybe rub their back some...
3. Bear hug - maybe you haven't seen them in a while, so how about a giant hug that lifts them off their feet
4. Hug from behind - surprise them, guess who?! or maybe they're having a bad day, cheer them up.
5. Awkward hug - maybe it's on accident, but whatever the case is, you can't help but feel a little nervous about hugging them.
6. Reluctant hug - whoever this person is, you have to hug them, better make it quick!
7. "I'm sorry!" hug - actions speak louder than words, will this person get the message?
8. Give a little extra hug - give them a kiss with it, cheek, shoulder nuzzle, whatever - but let the hug linger a little!
9. Don't WANT a hug - make them see sense! Cling, and don't let go for anything oohcookiegimme! - if you're the hugged, try to get loose. Or maybe you'll give in!
10. Random or other kind of hug - pick the choice you like best, or make up your own

With a shake of his head, he finished off his bun in a few bites, sort of wishing he'd bought two but university had really made eating poorly very, very easy, so he should probably start on his dinner instead. The pork udon was just as good as ever; Makoto didn't even need to add spices.

The broth was rich and nearly as tasty. Nagisa kicked his legs a little in excitement. "Amazing," he said between bites, enraptured. "I love Tokyo."

"I'm applying to all the same places as Rei-chan," he admitted, hoping Mako would understand that it wasn't so much laziness as the fear of being even lonelier. "I'm only going to be doing gen ed stuff for the first two years anyway, so it doesn't matter so much where. As long as I actually get in somewhere." Nagisa stuck out his tongue briefly, a half-hearted attempt to hide the very real apprehension behind is words.
no subject
"Well, you've got plenty of time, and there are so many great schools in Japan."
Makoto wasn't sure why, but thinking of Nagisa following Rei sort of gave him a lump in his stomach. He tried to convince himself it was just the salt from the udon.
no subject
"If it was just my history scores, I could go anywhere. But I'm gonna..." Nagisa let out a little huff of laughter to diffuse the tension in his chest. "I'll work hard, though. Even in math."
no subject
He considered and then laughed. "You can always Skype me or something, if you need help."
That though. That just reminded him of their snapchat session, and his ears burned all over again. It was hard to see Nagisa like this, so sweet and innocent, when he'd seen him so much more devious.
no subject
He caught something in Mako's demeanor that distracted him, though -- some tone of voice or flicker of expression or something that he couldn't quite put his finger on at Mako's suggestion to Skype with him. Experimentally, Nagisa leaned in a little over his bowl.
"Just if I need help?"
no subject
"You can always call me for anything, Nagisa," he said, but he couldn't look up and meet Nagisa's knowing gaze.
no subject
"Anything, huh."
It was almost too mean to tease someone as genuinely sweet as Mako like this, especially in public. But only almost. Besides, Mako could just pretend it was the steam from the udon making his face so red.
no subject
He gestured. "Finish your udon. You don't want it to go cold."
no subject
But teasing aside, Mako was right -- there was no use in letting good food go to waste, and no use taking forever to eat when Nagisa still remembered Mako's insinuation that they would end up at his apartment later. He'd said it like it was a given, like it was obvious. Nagisa lifted the bowl to his lips to drink some of the soup directly, and to provide an excuse for his own flushed cheeks.
no subject
And when he chanced a quick glance up, he saw Nagisa's blush, and that too heated him up.
"Um, was that dessert enough, or can I get you another?"
no subject
Both, then. Definitely both.
"Something for the road, okay?"
no subject
Once he had them paper-wrapped in hand, he offered one to Nagisa and held the door open for him.
If Nagisa was a girl, this would definitely be a date.
no subject
"I was gonna pay for the sweets," he blurted out. "But Mako-chan beat me to it."
no subject
"Did you want to do anything else while we're out? I'd offer to swim with you, but I think the swim team practices for the next few hours in the gym."
no subject
He gazed at the storefronts as they passed by, imagining what it must be like to actually live here full-time. There was so much to the city. There would definitely have to be more excuses to come back in the future. Nagisa would find them, no matter what. But for now...
"What do you want to show me? I'm the one imposing on you."
no subject
Makoto nudged Nagisa's arm with his own, smiling down at him. So cute. There had never been a time when Nagisa had been anything else.
"Mmm. There's a couple museums in the area. We could see what kind of exhibits they're featuring. This time of year, it probably isn't anything too exciting, but you like history, ne? We could go look at some of the ocean views. Or my apartment's not far if you want to see it, though it's not exciting either."
no subject
"I wanna see where Mako-chan lives." But then again, ocean... "Is there a scenic route?"
no subject
"I can't take you to the ocean, I guess, but Tokyo Bay is close enough, ne?" It led into the ocean, after all! Makoto led them to the train station platform, and then boarded the next train. "Only two stops from here. Look." Makoto pointed out some monuments as they passed, and when they neared the Bay, the city sprawled with a beautiful bridge and glistening blue waters.
no subject
"Pretty..." He pushed back from the window to give Mako a grateful smile. "I should come and see you more often."
no subject
The train came to a stop, and Makoto led Nagisa off the platform. To any passersby, it probably just looked like a guy and his little brother sightseeing. In reality, Makoto hadn't really realized he was holding Nagisa's hand - he was used to dragging Haru around like that.
Makoto walked them to a viewing spot, the breeze rustling his hair, the city of Tokyo sprawling on both sides of the bay, with the enormous bridge between. "It's a really neat city. Very busy and loud sometimes, so very different from Iwatobi, but it's fun."
no subject
The busy spread of the city was a lot to take in. Nagisa couldn't help being fired up about it all. It wasn't that he disliked smaller town life, but a big city seemed so foreign and thrilling, almost forbidden. He tried to see if he could picture himself living in a place like this, being a city person, knowing how to get around the densely packed streets. The prospect was certainly alluring. He could understand why Mako found this fun, despite being somewhat less inclined towards crowds and noise than Nagisa himself.
"I'm happy," he said simply, because it was true. "Thank you for saving me today."
