You did not put this on yourself, and you cannot remove it, but it clearly states one or more of your most embarrassing, darkest, secretest or proudest feats.

"Oh, no, no no no no. No. That won't do at all, what do you do if you don't have hobbies?" Circling around him, with birdlike steps, "There must be something that interests you. Astronomy? I could never get the hang of that. Biology? So many living creatures have similarities, once you've learned a little... what about growing plants?"

'Building computer technology' might be a little rude to say to a robot, so she was avoiding it out of common courtesy.

"If you're incredibly busy, you could develop a hobby you can do while also half-doing your job. Like... knitting... especially if you're only monitoring temperatures and so on."

"Oh, I-- I-I, I just work." Fixit's surprised by the sudden attention and the person circling him, but not alarmed and not upset by it in any way. "I do like geology, and technology and science, but I'm not really supposed to leave my coast-- leave my host-- leave my post-- and I have a lot to get done."

...Growing plants, though, that sounded nice. And! A hobby he could do while also working, that might work! "I watch TV sometimes while I'm working... The-there's usually one playing close by. And I listen to music, and--"

He spotted Gangryn's button, then, after the circling, and brightened suddenly. "You taught yourself medicine too?"

"However you pronounce it," She wasn't even making fun, just acting like he'd eventually gotten to the word and the context was enough to interact with what he'd said, "Your job cannot be the only thing that defines you. That way leads to misery. You must be a person, first."

And if necessary, hide that personhood from your superiors. A little too raw not to stay a thought, though.

"I... oh." She looked down at her button, then back up, "I did... You can't just--program yourself?" Well, she didn't see a slot anywhere for a floppy disc.
