ASK ME ABOUT MY ___

THE ASK ME ABOUT MY [BLANK] MEME

You're now mingling in a place of your choice-- a party, your usual headquarters etc.-- when you find yourself with a sticker/pin/label of some kind that only reads ASK ME ABOUT MY (PROBLEM OR EXPERTISE OF CHOICE). You did not put this on yourself, and you cannot remove it, but it clearly states one or more of your most embarrassing, darkest, secretest or proudest feats.

RULES:
-Comment with your character and their name/canon on subject
-Fill the comment with what their pin states
-Embarrass the hell out of them
-Take revenge by embarrassing others and comment around!

"No? I'm not surprised. I've never seen anything like you before, either." Gradually backing down from the appeasing posture and accompanying panic, "And the sun's so bright here..." Well, best not to dwell on that sort of thing, and anyway it almost seemed like she was trying to console her, and Gangryn hesitated.

"Thank you...?"

It was so alien, praise, that she didn't know what to do with it, turning it over in her mind like an amateur jeweler looking for a forgery without the slightest clue what differentiated diamonds and glass.

"Ah! Ah. Wait--" Now that was something she noticed and understood, lifting delicate hands fruitlessly into the air, incredibly open with her gestures and distress, "Please don't hurt yourself, I didn't - I didn't mean it. I'm sorry, so sorry. I always say the wrong thing. It's none of my business, I only wanted to offer. I should have known better..."

She relaxed, tracked forward, stopped cringing as Starscream introduced herself. "Starscream - my name is Gangryn. Uhm... not... not of anything, exactly, but I am lost, to some degree." 360 degrees. The complete circle. Utterly lost. "I, I.... like your wings."

"Then Earth is unfamiliar to you?" Possibly the dramen weren't native to this planet, in which case... Perhaps they had something in common, perhaps they could be of use to each other.

The surprise at being complimented was familiar and, worse, the apologies and self-recriminations were -- too freshly familiar, and Starscream winced, peering down at Gangryn a little helplessly with uncertainty of what to do about this... tiny cringing person, trying to be friendly and helpful and to appease.

"No, no," she said vaguely. "It... isn't your fault, I was merely -- I... am merely-- opposed to being labeled without my knowledge or express permission. But I see that you are in the same sort of trouble...?"

Gangryn. All right, she could remember that. And at least she was relaxing again. "Then perhaps... Ah?" And now it was Starscream's turn to have that familiar surprise-to-be-complimented; her wings fanned out slightly, unconsciously, and she straightened a little. "Do you. They are magnificent, aren't they?" A touch of pride, to that. "Perhaps we can be of use to each other, Gangryn."

"Is this--Old Earth?" She rubs her head, confounded, "It doesn't look like anywhere on the planet I've been, the sky's completely clear, there's no lava..." And no radiation, though she wouldn't really know enough to be able to identify that. She's evolved with an extremely high tolerance to it.

"That sounds reasonable! Why should you want to be labeled." She fidgeted, and then drew up a little taller, not quite straightening, more comfortable forward, but trying to show that she knew what was going on. "My badge is at least a misleading compliment of sorts. We have no physicians, someone had to take care of the wounded, while we war with the humans - Dreadwing might think himself invulnerable, but that is hardly the case for him, or for the rest of us. Least of all his prize pet."

She broke off the somewhat meandering explanation to look up again, admiring, almost-but-not-quite coveting, used to being without flight but very pleased at the way Starscream's wings looked. Her eyes tracked back to Starscream's face in time to catch the surprise, and she softened, recognizing it. This giant creature was more kin to her than she'd feared. "They are wonderful." Emboldened, to be more honest, lacing her fingers, "Of--use? What can I do for a creature as mighty as you?"
