they are the hunters, we are the foxes - and we run

Sometimes, these things happen. Sometimes, you're in just the wrong place at just the right time, or you've made the wrong (or right, depending on your intentions) person mad. Sometimes it's better for everyone if you just go. Sometimes there isn't time for good-bye.
You've managed to lose yourself somewhere out there, for whatever reason it was. Maybe you took someone with you (willingly? not?), or you found someone else who needed to disappear as badly as you did. You're in your car, or a cheap hotel, or a house by the side of the road. What else can you do but watch, and wait?
It could have been as simple as being glimpsed at the 7-11. Your phoneline wasn't as secure as you thought. You locked eyes with the wrong person across the room. Now the house of cards is collapsing, and maybe not just your life, but the lives of everyone you love could be in jeopardy now. The walls are closing in, and your arms are giving out.
- post with your character's name and canon. if you have an on-the-run AU, or scenarios you might want to play out, mention them here.
- find others. tag them.
- and then, run.

He's crossing the street when it happens, he hears "GET DOWN!" and instinct takes over. He ducks, reaching for the pistol hidden in his back waistband as a woman jumps out in front of him, muttering words he can hear but not understand. He hears a car screech to a halt somewhere to his left, but he ignores it, focusing only on aiming his pistol at the assailant, another woman on the other side of the street. There are jets of light and flame, and the sidewalk becomes covered in ice, all things which Eggsy doesn't understand, but there's no time for that. He fires. ]

It is in that moment another car also skids, and it is coming dangerously close to where Mina was standing. The other witch, rattled by the shot, and now bleeding, goes running.
Mina doesn't have all that much time to move out of the way, and she is injured badly enough that she would need tending. She turns at the last second to see the lights heading her way as the car driver is heard slamming on their breaks. Weakly she picks up her wand, and aims with a spell called "Zauber der Verlangsamung". Though it slows the car down, she can't do the spell, and move at the same time.]

He pushes himself up and tackles her out of the way of the car, which goes screeching past, slamming into a parked minivan. He looks around, noticing the growing crowd, and quickly decides that they need to get out of there, fast. ]
Come on, [ he says, standing and pulling her up by the arm. He makes to take her the rest of the way across the street, towards the tailor's shop which was his original destination. ]

Now on the ground, she is beginning to really feel the pain of her arm, and now the bumps and bruises she would have from hitting the hard pavement with a crack of various limbs.
Distantly, she hears the sound of the car hitting the minivan, and she cringes because it could have been her that got hit instead. But then she is being hauled up to her feet by her bad arm, and she almost passes out. Still, she had to keep this together, she couldn't let the pain overtake her now. Letting out a bit of a whimper, Mina picks up her wand right before he pulls her all the way up to standing.
Nodding to his comment, she goes with him limply, but eagerly. Not wanting to be there anymore than he had wanted to be.]
My arm, it is hurt. [She speaks, her voice has a bit of an accent to it.] Where are you taking me? [She asked in a small, soft voice. It sounded pained, but grateful.]

He notices that he's still holding her by her injured arm, and moves his hand to her back instead. He leads her up the steps to the door of the shop, then holds the door open for her to enter. Luckily, the shop's only occupant is James, the old man at the desk, so Eggsy doesn't have to worry about any customers overhearing them. He guides the woman to the armchair by the window, and turns to address James. ] Fetch the first aid kit, will you?
[ He leans down over her, inspecting her arm. ] Let me see? [ It looks like a frostbite burn, but he can't understand why it would be. ]
What's your name? [ Knowing who this woman is might be the first step to finding out what's going on. ]

Once inside the shop, Mina doesn't have a chance to look around before she is being sat down in a leather, high backed chair.]
A first aide kit, what is this? Do you not have slippery elm, chickweed, and comfrey that I may make myself a poultice. Yet...[She looked down at the burn, and it looked a bit more serious than a minor burn would be.] Aloe leaf, and lavender with a chamomile and oatmeal poultice would work better.
[She tried not to hiss, but it did sting more than a fair bit. She was caught off guard when he asked her her name, having forgotten how they met momentarily.] Mina, my name is Mina. [She looked up then, he was quite handsome young man. She smiled slightly, and nodded.] But, I am at a disadvantage.
