They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.

But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.

Their's is slowly following, if its reluctant at all.

[Oh no, no, no. The Nogitsune wouldn't attempt to take on someone of John's caliber and physical combat isn't something it likes. It only found John laying outside its hideout. It just didn't do more damage because A) John might have friends looking for him and they would kick its tail and B) John might live and then he would kick its tail. People who stink of magic are very unsettling to spirits hanging out in stolen bodies or copies of them. While I don't know the NBC version, I do Hellblazer and that John would blow the Nogitsune out of its stolen form without much effort. Does that change anything you had in there? Your pref had said that John would most likely be the bloodied one?]
