On Your Doorstep

On Your Doorstep
They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.
But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.
Their's is slowly following, if its reluctant at all.
1. Comment with your character, preferences, & what role you'd like to play.
2. Tag others.
3. Thread

"Really? ...Christopher Robin will be able to fix it?"

He lifted a leg, and sure enough, there was a thin line of matching grey thread running next to a seam.
"All better, see?"

"Well...I guess I'll go with you, then. But do you think...Christopher Robin's gonna tell momma what happened...?"

"O-okay, I'm ready."

"If it gets too bumpy, you can hold onto my ears." He suggested. "They don't come off the way my tail usually does."
It was a slow and steady walk through the Hundred Acre Woods. Eeyore, after all, couldn't bounce like Tigger or Rabbit. He couldn't fly like Owl or scurry like Piglet. Plus, he had precious cargo that certainly didn't need another fall.

"So...does it hurt? ...to get fixed, I mean."
no subject
That was the truth for what it was worth. After all, this was the donkey whose tail was held on by a rather loose nail.
"Kinda tickles though."
no subject
He thinks he could handle it tickling; not so much if it hurt.

Oh, bother indeed.
"Why, hello Eeyore. Hello Roo." the boy smiled, waving at them both. "Did you want to fly kites with us?"
"Maybe later." the donkey answered. "First, we need a little help."
He tilted his head back, gesturing to Roo to explain.

"I kiiiindof...got hurt..." He mumbled, moving his arms so the boy would be able to see the long rip down his front as he continued to explain exactly how it happened.

"You can fix him, can't you? The way you fixed me?" Eeeyore asked.
"Of course I can, Eeyore." Christopher Robin smiled. "I'll be right back with my needle and thread. And soon, everything will be good as new."
