1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

[actually he totally took a sketchy turn into a sketchy alleyway because he wanted to save some time and go through a shortcut but life sucks when you're a shounen protag who can't shounen or protag!! So Totsuka is now RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE away from the group of thugs who want to beat up Homra's weakest executive in revenge for all the property damage HOMRA has done.]

[they eventually catch up though because totsuka literally cannot run away forever, even as he's trying to scramble up this fence, but the closest thug grabs the back of his coat and yanks him off and DOWN HE GOES...]

Wait, let's talk about this -- !! [no one cares for pacifism, so totsuka gets thrown down onto the ground like the lamer he is.... HOW WILL HE GET OUT OF THIS]

[It's okay, this one has plenty of shounen and protag to spare.

What's Soramaru doing hanging out in a sketchy alleyway well it's obviously because of the poor sucker getting beat up on the ground. He doesn't waste any time drawing his wooden bokken and swinging it into the nearest thug and then another so he can actually reach the poor guy...

And once he does, he stands between Totsuka and the thugs, glowering with everything he has as he brandishes his training sword.]

Think very carefully before you make your next move. [Takes an offensive stance.] This will be your last chance to simply walk away.

[Totsuka quickly sits up, one hand pressing against his bruised cheek, but instead of looking scared or frightened -- he just looks surprised. and impressed?? this KID JUST TOOK OUT LIKE THREE THUGS]

[the remaining two mutter among themselves 'he's just a kid' 'LET'S BEAT THE BOTH OF THEM UP!!!' and then, the one on the right suddenly busts out a knife!!! and Totsuka's look of awe immediately turns alarmed]

Hey, that's going too far -- ! [as if the punching wasn't enough?? but now they're rushing forward with the intention of beating Totsuka and his savior!!!]

[Soramaru gets his butt whooped by guys a thousand times stronger than these regular street thugs, okay.

Look, he gave them a fair warning and they're clearly not listening so he's got no choice. He side steps the man with the knife easily enough, slamming his bokken down on the thug's wrist which effectively disarms him and adds a bonus crack! that could very well be a painfully broken bone.

But he doesn't even pause for a moment, twisting his body and moving his sword in a wide arc to smack the remaining dude in stomach.

YEAH THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR CALLING HIM A KID and oh yeah hurting some random guy.]

[the other guys have skedaddled by now, even hauling the guy who's GROANING AT BEING HIT IN THE STOMACH AWAY with vengeful declarations of 'WE'LL BE BACK' and 'MEDDLING KIDS' while the guy who got his wrist broken tries not to cry a lot.]

[Totsuka just stares at this all wide-eyed, but once they're FINALLY GONE, he pipes up.]

That was really impressive! [still... sitting on the ground]

[Totsuka, you're going to get your pants dirty...]

Ah, that was nothing. [He's trying really hard not to look pleased by the compliment and it's kind of working?? But no, more important things to tend to.]

Are you hurt? Can you stand? [Tucks his bokken away so he can lean down and offer a hand.]

[reaches up to take his hand!]

I'm fine...! I didn't sprain anything when I fell. [once he's up he kind of holds his stomach... that beating hurt] But I'd have been a lot worse off if you hadn't saved me.

Pulls him to his feet!!] Kumou Soramaru. [You are super chill for a dude who just had a bunch of thugs on him not too long ago...]

Ah... [he kind of trails off thoughtfully] Not really! But if I had to guess -- it probably has to do with revenge? Or maybe they just wanted to mug me.

Revenge...? [That makes him pause because what the heck, what could this seemingly nice man possibly have done? Pet their dog in the wrong way??

He won't press, though.] No, it's fine. I'm glad I was there to help. It was cowardly of them to outnumber you in that way.

[Fenris swallows the liquid with no complaint. He does not like being in pain, contrary to what Isabela suggested when he refused healing in the past.

While he waits for the draught to take effect, he tries to recall what had happened. He remembers arguing with Anders, then a mage surprising them and then... He presses his lips together in frustration. Nothing. He remembers nothing.

As soon as he feels some strength come back into his legs he stands, and while he is still leaning and looks like a gust of wind could blow him over, he manages not to fall.]

You do not have to stay with me, mage. It may be a... slow walk back to Kirkwall. [He manages to touch his voice with humour, despite the pain and confusion, though it's strained.]

Sam readjusts them for his height, then lifts one of his feet and slowly makes a lap around the room, explaining everything he's doing as he does so. Once he comes back to Ash, he sets his foot down again and holds out the crutches once more.

"Ready to give it a try?"

"I'm ready!" It didn't look too difficult, and he's about ready to get onto his feet again already.

Well, one of his feet. He takes the crutches again and plants the end on the ground before standing up and putting them under his armpits like Professor Oak showed him. He then starts to go forward with the crutches, realizing this is a little more difficult than it looked.

"This is kinda hard, Professor."

"Remember, you want to use the strength in your arms, not your armpit." Sam's following close behind Ash, not so much that he'll get in the way, but close enough that he can catch him if he falls. "Besides, you've barely started. Give it a few more steps." If he knows Ash, the boy won't give up so easily.

"Okay, I can do this!" Giving up isn't in Ash's vocabulary, so he takes a few more steps, trying to use the strength in his arms and not his armpits. Pikachu follows beside Professor Oak so he doesn't get in his trainer's way. Guess there won't be any shoulder riding for a while.

"I think I'm gettin' the hang of it..." Not completely, but his last couple steps were better than his first couple. And he hasn't fallen yet, which is also a good thing.

"Take small steps." But suddenly, Sam is reminded of something. "To get up and down stairs... you might have to crawl if you can't use the crutches safely." He'd never even considered that a possibility... but he's pretty sure Ash doesn't want to crawl everywhere anymore than he wants to use the crutches. At least this is a bit more dignified.

"Oh," He was about to try for a bigger step but small steps. He can do that. What he can't do, however, is stop himself from giving Professor Oak an odd look when he's told that he might have to crawl.

"I'll havta crawl?" Sounds like he'll be crawling to his room tonight. Though hopefully, home will be the only place where he'll be crawling.

Haha, right? They really didn't need to be in a group. [to beat up totsuka... you can use just one guy] But you were pretty brave. Most people think twice before jumping in.
