MORNING AFTER MEME



Last night was pretty wild, or maybe it wasn't. You have just woken up, but you are not alone. Perhaps it is a stranger lying next to you, perhaps it's someone you know. It might be your significant other, or a one night stand. The fact remains that you are in bed together, naked (or maybe not) and something happened.

[Hopefully a certain Detective Inspector doesn't have anything against cuddling, because conscious or not, Molly's quite a fan, and is likely snuggled against his chest and sleeping soundly.]

[He's not nothing against cuddling at all, he's just not used to it anymore. His ex-wife stopped cuddling a long time before they split. It's a pleasant surprise when he stirs, having an arm around Molly with her face against his chest.]

[It's been awhile since Molly actually had the luxury of waking up next to someone; a human someone at least, since some nights her cat Toby curls up beside her, but this is different. Warm and comforting. And so much better.

Her head nuzzles against him in response to his stirring, and one by one her eyes slowly flutter open. She tilts her head up, still a little sleepy as she sheepishly smiles] H-Hello.

Morning. [God, she really is beautiful, isn't she? He'd never noticed it before, but now he can't not see it. With a yawn, he leans his head back against the pillow, closing his eyes.]

When does your shift start? Unless I get a call I don't have to be in until noon today.

[It feels like a very good morning already, especially following the lovely night they'd shared. Despite being a bit sleepy still, Molly's heartbeat quickens at the memory. Skin on skin, kisses and soft touches]

In a rush to get rid of me already? [She laughs softly, her hand drawing idle patterns on his chest] 'Bout 11 today, I think...what time is it now?

Not on your life. [He smiles back, leaning his head against hers before reaching for his phone on the bedside table.] Christ, it's only seven.

Good. [She smiles at the small affection, before groaning at the time] You're kidding me.

...Why the hell are we awake? [She shakes her head before resting it against him] Let's go back to sleep.
