MORNING AFTER THE FIRST TIME?

[Arthur expects a certain amount of things when he wakes up. He expects to be warm and tangled in his sheets. He expects the sun to be peeking out through his window as if teasing him. He expects to find a feather poking through his pillow and poking him in the face. He expects the smell of coffee made my Alvin hours or minutes previously to drift in through the door. What he doesn't expect is another body curled up against him. It's not that it doesn't happen, but out of all the days that he wakes up in bed, he's more often alone than not.

This particular body in his bed is only a surprise for a moment, and once he remembers exactly what happened he can't help but smile. Wrapping an arm around Merlin, he closes his eyes in order to attempt to drift back off to sleep.]
