THE DENNY'S MEME

Except Denny's.
RULES
1. Post to the meme.
2. Find somebody to eat with. Figure out why the hell you'd do this to yourself.
3. Damn, they should bring back Baconalia. That shit was fantastic.

[Not that Damian isn't looking at the food curiously. Batman may be his dad but the Flash is the crazy uncle figure that brings forth new and unexpected experiences. Furrowing his brow, he reaches out and picks up a piece of bacon, popping it into his mouth.] ...it does seem fine, however.

[He is never going to quite get over hearing someone call Bats 'Father', though he kinda has to wonder on the guy's idea of a good upbringing. Skipping out on food like this entirely? That's no way for a kid to grow up. It's a good thing Damian has someone like Uncle Flash to introduce him to the wonders of grease and saturated fats.]
Anyway, I usually have to eat whatever I can on the run when we're on missions, which is usually healthier food from the Watchtower. So I don't eat as much of this as he probably acts like I do.
[Grinning, he nudges a plate of fries slathered in cheese and bits of bacon over to the kid.] Seriously, you have to try this.

[Batman tries to do the best he can by his son, which includes the best foods. It's part of that new-to-fatherhood thing; when in doubt default to buying the best stuff and hope that works. The importance of junk food is lost on him, and honestly kind of lost on Damian, who's still new to all of it.
But the fries are good, and it's nice, to have this downtime without Bruce's watchful eyes hovering over him the whole time.]
These are quite good, actually. Although my mother's cooking was superior, obviously.

[In all fairness, Wally can't really blame Bats for not really getting what it's like to be a normal kid; he wasn't really one after all. But that doesn't mean he can't lend a hand to give Damian a break sometimes, a few experiences of being a kid properly.
Which is why a waitress approaches with what have to be the two biggest sundaes ever created. Wally really went all out on this little trip, it seems. He grins as they're set down as well.]
Well yeah, everyone's mother cooks better for them. But this is pretty good too. So, you like chocolate or caramel?

[He is a tough guy. So he's not side-eying that ice cream. Nope. He is eating the perfectly manly food that is bacon cheese fries, feeling a little out of place in his father's culture. It's not an uncommon thing for him. Damian knows he's not really like other people here.
However, he's like any kid when it comes to curiousity, so he may have just pouted a little. But he'll deny it later.]

But if you don't wanna try it, I guess that's your loss. I can eat both of these just fine.
[To prove his point, Wally makes a show of taking a bite of the caramel sundae, making sure to get some of the mixed in bits of candy and nuts, and then rapidly finishes off half of it in a blur of speed.]
Last chance, are you really sure you don't want to see what it's like? Even just so you know when to tell if it's mixed into something else?
