[Winter in the 21st century is different from the winter Brainiac 5 is familiar with on Earth in his time. There are far less controls in play, people having to deal with the cold, snow, ice, and other aspects as best they can without technology to monitor everything and counteract the worst of it.

It's nice, he decides, more natural and oddly exhilarating in an unexpected way, even if he can only watch the children and teens playing at a distance as he remains hidden in the branches of a tree. He could, he supposes, go and disguise himself to appear human if he wished, but even then the Coluan hasn't ever really been one for fun and games, so while he does watch with some small amount of longing, he's not entirely certain why or what he'd stand to gain from it all.]

I've more important things to do. [It's a reminder to himself more than anything, and he redirects his attention to the scanner at his wrist. It's not much help, however, as he's been here for a while now and nothing's happened yet. It's looking more and more like his data was wrong about something happening to the time stream here.]
