1. Friendly hug - this person is your good pal, and you just wanna give them a fond squeeze to let them know.

 

2. Romantic hug - you just want to be closer, so wrap your arms around them, maybe rub their back some...

 

3. Bear hug - maybe you haven't seen them in a while, so how about a giant hug that lifts them off their feet

 

4. Hug from behind - surprise them, guess who?! or maybe they're having a bad day, cheer them up.

 

5. Awkward hug - maybe it's on accident, but whatever the case is, you can't help but feel a little nervous about hugging them.

 

6. Reluctant hug - whoever this person is, you have to hug them, better make it quick!

 

7. "I'm sorry!" hug - actions speak louder than words, will this person get the message?

 

8. Give a little extra hug - give them a kiss with it, cheek, shoulder nuzzle, whatever - but let the hug linger a little!

I know this one place downtown that does some fabulous French cuisine. And by cuisine, I mean they have the best deserts this side of the States.

[She easily slips her arm through his, placing a hand lightly on his bicep, as they head for the exit.]

[With little fanfare, they're now outside Mount Justice. And looking stunningly dapper and also out of place.]

[Considering "out of place" translated to "out of spandex and fishnets", it was an acceptable situation.]

The question is: do we walk, or take one of the motorcycles?

[Once they're at the garage, she grabs one of the several helmets hanging on the wall. Buckling it under her chin securely as she comes up behind him on the bike. Her dress was loose enough that it was no problem for her to straddle the seat, wrapping her arms around his waist]

[He puts on a helmet, gets on the bike and waits for Zee. Once she's settled in, he gives her a grin before sliding down the visor on his helmet.]

He speeds through the streets, driving carefully and skillfully and hoping nobody pulls him over because Dick Grayson doesn't have a license.

But they arrive at the restaurant safely.]

[Right. License. One of those. Oh, it's not like they readily hand them out for 14-year-olds anyway]

[Zatanna laughs as he pulls a particular sharp curve--at a decent speed, of course--and just holds him closer. She knows he can't hear her over the wind, so she's content to give an extra squeeze every time he does something to her approval. Or even just because.]

[The trip is over all too soon, of course, and she's pulling off the helmet with almost a look of disappointment.]

[He pulls off the the helmet and smiles.]

You know, I'm starting to think that you like me more for my driving than anything.

[She straights her dress with a practice grace, sliding off and removing the helmet. Her hair seems to have more or less survived the trip]

[He fixes his hair a little in the rearview mirror. Not too bad.]

One wild motorcycle ride later and we still look fantastic. Is that part of the magic?

Just not the kind that came from my spell.

[Laughing, she forgoes the formalities and just casually slips her hand into his, leading him to the entrance.]

[He walks hand-in-hand with her into the restaurant and gets them a nice cozy table with a view.]

[It hardly surprised her that a single name was all it took for him to secure them a walk-in reservation. The table itself was perfect; among the crowd, but still distant enough to offer privacy. The window, offering a beautiful view of the lake in the park.]

One of Dad's old managers took us here as a thank you when he retired, actually.

You guys must've been close, for him to take you somewhere this swanky.

I wouldn't say close, exactly. But Dad always treated his managers very well. And he had a sort of soft spot for me, I guess. The little girl always hanging around backstage.

Well you are very charming; I'm sure you were as a little girl too.

I kinda miss the whole...show business atmosphere sometimes. How you can have a literal clown as your uncle-from-another-grandmother.
