1. Friendly hug - this person is your good pal, and you just wanna give them a fond squeeze to let them know.

 

2. Romantic hug - you just want to be closer, so wrap your arms around them, maybe rub their back some...

 

3. Bear hug - maybe you haven't seen them in a while, so how about a giant hug that lifts them off their feet

 

4. Hug from behind - surprise them, guess who?! or maybe they're having a bad day, cheer them up.

 

5. Awkward hug - maybe it's on accident, but whatever the case is, you can't help but feel a little nervous about hugging them.

 

6. Reluctant hug - whoever this person is, you have to hug them, better make it quick!

 

7. "I'm sorry!" hug - actions speak louder than words, will this person get the message?

 

8. Give a little extra hug - give them a kiss with it, cheek, shoulder nuzzle, whatever - but let the hug linger a little!

But they arrive at the restaurant safely.]

[Zatanna laughs as he pulls a particular sharp curve--at a decent speed, of course--and just holds him closer. She knows he can't hear her over the wind, so she's content to give an extra squeeze every time he does something to her approval. Or even just because.]

[The trip is over all too soon, of course, and she's pulling off the helmet with almost a look of disappointment.]

[Laughing, she forgoes the formalities and just casually slips her hand into his, leading him to the entrance.]

[He walks hand-in-hand with her into the restaurant and gets them a nice cozy table with a view.]

[It hardly surprised her that a single name was all it took for him to secure them a walk-in reservation. The table itself was perfect; among the crowd, but still distant enough to offer privacy. The window, offering a beautiful view of the lake in the park.]

One of Dad's old managers took us here as a thank you when he retired, actually.

You guys must've been close, for him to take you somewhere this swanky.

I wouldn't say close, exactly. But Dad always treated his managers very well. And he had a sort of soft spot for me, I guess. The little girl always hanging around backstage.

I kinda miss the whole...show business atmosphere sometimes. How you can have a literal clown as your uncle-from-another-grandmother.
