[Andrew was a little surprised to find himself latched onto someone when he woke up. But when he had remembered going over to Charlie's to watch movies after deciding that he couldn't spend one more second in his house, and how they had a moment halfway through a horror movie (which he will never inflict on her again, oops) that led to their current situation, he couldn't help but feel his entire body go red with embarrassment. The whole night just flooded back to him and he was stuck between feeling as if it was the best night of his life and feeling like it was the most mortifying.

Carefully, very carefully, he unlatched his arms from around her and sat up, hands raking through his messy hair. Oh god he said some embarrassing things, didn't he? He's sure he did. And not only that, but he was so awkward and unsure -- there was even a moment where he's pretty sure he apologized right in the middle. He didn't know what the hell he was doing, did he? He almost groans to himself, but remembers that she's right beside him sleeping and holds it in, settling for sitting there with his face in his hands as he considered grabbing his cloths and flying out the window in mortification.]

[ Charlie's awake a moment later, eyes easing open slowly as she blinks and takes a slow look around. She remembers quite clearly what happened and, unlike her boyfriend, didn't find anything wrong with it. She'd enjoyed it, awkward and fumbling as the two of them were about it. Neither of them had any experience with sex, but that's what made it good for her. That's what made it special, girly as that sounded.

She spots Andrew and sits up some, propping herself up on her elbows and running her fingers through her wild hair to calm it some. She's about to say 'good morning' to him, but his posture catches her attention and she's immediately concerned. ]

Andrew?

[ Her voice cracks some, not ready to be used so soon after she wakes up, and one hand keeps the sheet up and covering her chest. The expression on her face is one of worry and concern. ] Andrew, is everything okay?

[That's it, he's going to work up the ~~cowardice~~ courage to get his cloths on and fly out of here to spare him the emba--

--oh.

He jumps slightly, not having expected her to be up so early. Was it even early? He's not sure. He doesn't care. When he looks down at her he can barely hold eye contact for longer than a fraction of a second.

His voice is quieter than usual.]

Uh, good morning... [What are you even supposed to say after something like that? "Good morning" felt kind of strange and oddly shallow. What was he supposed to say?]

...Sorry.

[Nope, that just sounded pathetic.]

[ Something was wrong. Something was clearly upsetting him. Her expression shifts from happy to see him (which she was she could totally get used to waking up to him) to concern and worry.

She sits up more, the sheet she's wearing loose but still covering her. She wants to reach out and wrap her arm around his waist, but isn't sure if that's the best idea yet. He looks shaken, so she defaults to her usual gesture of concern. A brush of her shoulder against his. Said shoulder leans against his for a moment, a cautious nudge and, honestly, a brief moment where she enjoyed the feel of his skin against hers.]

Talk to me, Andrew. What's wrong?

...I was just nervous, you know?

[The first words to come out of his mouth and he hated that he even said them. Not that he didn't think it was horribly obvious he was nervous to begin with, but admitting it out loud just sounded so awful. Still, he felt as if he needed to explain himself.]

I mean it...it was my first time and. With you.

[The "with you" was probably the main source of his nervousness, after all. It was Charlie. Even if he had seen her has one of his best friends, and did a bunch of 'best friend' things together all the time, he always had that hint of a crush on her. One Steve and Matt made sure to tease him about constantly, no matter how much he denied it was a thing. But it was. And as time went on it just grew more and more.

It was Charlie.]

Nervous?

[ For all of two seconds, Charlie' can't figure out why he'd be nervous, so she listens to the rest of what he says. And then she gets it. She smiles some at him, her hand reaching for his to hold and reassure. It's how they roll, apparently. He gets upset, she reassures him that everything is actually alright.]

You were my first, too. [ She kind of shrugs some, a mildly sheepish gesture.]

You're my first for a lot. And I'm glad it's all been with you, because I've been enjoying everything.

[ Yes, Andrew. Everything. Even the sex. ]

[Andrew looks down at his hand being held in hers, then works up the courage to look at her, clearly surprised.]

I am? [Though maybe he shouldn't be so surprised. Charlie always seemed guarded, like him.] I mean...

[His face is red from the implication of her words. Everything? He avoids eye contact.]

Yeah. I mean, I...I've been enjoying everything too. I just, I don't know, I've been really happy.

[Well fuck, that just sounds way to heavy of a thing to say, doesn't it?]

--happy doing stuff. I mean, being with you. Hanging out...

[Annnnd face in hands.]

[ She's not guarded. She's just picky...and...okay, yeah. Maybe she can be guarded. She has no valid reason to be, it's just easier to people watch than it is to actually talk to people you're really not interested in. This may make her seem like a snob. But she's not. She just has zero tolerance for idiots and bullies. Andrew is neither, as far as she could tell.

Her thumb runs over the skin on the hand she's holding until he puts his face in his hands, her chin resting gently on his shoulder. ]

You deserve to be happy, you know.

[ Personally, she thinks the world has dumped on him more than it should have. That he's been screwed over left and right for no other reason than people suck. ]

If you're happy, especially about what's happened and what's been happening when we hang out, don't let it embarrass you. [ She pauses, smirking some. ]

Especially since I think your smile is one of the best ones I've seen.
