Our breakup wasn't bad, per say. He was just... so relentlessly cheerful.

He's either just fighting to put a good face out there, or you got to escape a guy who didn't care about you as much as you deserved.

He never made actual plans either. It was just kind of like 'whatever'. That drove me nuts. How hard is it to come up with an actual time and place for something more than 15 minutes in advance?

Ew, way too easy. Go with the flow isn't bad, but being able to plan ahead shouldn't be that hard.

And the worst part is that my dad called all of it when we first started dating. So it's turned into a giant told-you-so thing.

But at least if I won according to the Internet, that makes it a bit better.

Odds are he doesn't know how to deal with the emotional side of things so he's focusing on the bit he can handle. Sorry, I know that isn't comforting.
