Looks like the weather forecast was right; it's absolutely pouring! And most people are complaining about the sudden downpour.

But forget those negative nellies! Just post a comment with your series name and character name as usual, as well as any other notes you wish to add, then pick a prompt using the RNG and get started!
 

1. OMG RAIN!!!

Rain is just the BEST THING EVER, RIGHT?! Well, that's what you think and you're determined to have a good time. Either going for a walk or splashing through puddles or even just sitting around and getting wet, you're going to milk every second of this rain and drag your friends along for the ride.

2. FUCK YOU, RAIN.

Oh god, it's raining. This just completely ruins your day. Maybe you were planning to go shopping but the roads are still flooded up, or because the school closed thanks to the storm, you need to hire a last minute babysitter for your kids. Whatever the reason for it, you're not pleased about this rain and you don't care what anyone else thinks.

3. RAIN SIEGE

Oh lord, it looks like you're stuck inside. It's raining too hard for you to even think of leaving! Will you make a daring escape in a ridiculous raincoat or will you just give up and watch TV? But what if you run out of snacks? Or the TV reception dies?!

4. A WALK IN THE RAIN

Nothing like the sound of rain beating against your umbrella, right? You don't really care either way about the chaos and even though it's chilly, the one thing you want to do today is head out for a walk in the rain and maybe grab a hot chocolate on the way back.

[his eyeroll is lost to the darkness. what a tragedy...] Not what I meant. Where are you hurt?

My ankle, it's fine. [ it's not even that bad ok. that she can see. in the dark. so basically it doesn't hurt much so she assumes it's fine. she backs into the bed and abruptly sits down. they've arrived. ]

[ambitionist]

And yet you made me go get the first aid kit. [not that he has it .... whatever, he's the first aid kit. hello mr. bed you are comfortable today.]

For band aids. Don't even think about it. [ she knows. ] It's not worth it.

[ambitionist]

It would be worth it to me. [he lounges back on the bed.] But, hey. Suit yourself.

Can you... [ she sounds really annoyed she has to ask but her poor finger hurts (why are tiny burns the actual worst?) so she can't do much on her own. ] Check to see that there's no bits of plate in there, though? [ she nudges him with her knee hesitantly. ]

[ambitionist]

[well this is going to be super fun. he sits up and moves around so he can get a good look at her ankle, still using his phone as a flashlight. (spot 10)] You're bleeding a bit, but I'm not seeing anything in the cut.

[ladymoneta]

So I'm fine. [ she pulls her leg back. ] Thanks. [ a beat. ] This shit is rubbish. I hate storms, there's never anything to do.

[ambitionist]

I didn't do anything. [there's something pointed in the way he says it; like i could do something but i'm not because you'd throw a hissy.] I hate them, too.

[ she's ignoring that. shifting across the bed, she leans over, rifling around underneath her bed until she locates a small box that sounds like its full of junk. blindly, her fingers brush across the things inside until she pulls out another lighter, flicking open the old zippo with an audible snick. ] Let's try this again, shall we? [ and she's... y'know, gonna try to light the candles again. ]

[ambitionist]

[while she does that, he's going to go back to lying down.] Too bad Nate didn't stay to share this romantic candlelit moment with us.

[ladymoneta]

Why don't you call him? [ she tries for nonchalant and does not make it all the way. it isn't even that she wants a romantic candlelit evening with alex, she doesn't even like romance, she just equally doesn't want someone to have romance in front of her. ]

[ambitionist]

Kidding. I was kidding, Rebecca. God, why are so you obsessed with getting me to call other people when we're together?

[ladymoneta]

I'm not! Sonja doesn't count, she should have been there with you. [ she lights the last candle, which is like four so it's still not much light and flicks the lighter closed, setting it on the windowsill. ] And what, Alexander, is so wrong with the idea of watching you make out with Nate?

[ damn she is proud of turning that around so well. A MILLION POINTS FOR REBECCA. ]

İmkansız. [ she makes a face, so even though he doesn't speak turkish it's pretty easy to translate it to english. she's calling fond bullshit on him. flop, she drapes herself across the remainder of the bed, resting her head in his lap. after a second she adds: ] I'm bored.

[he shrugs as much as one can while lying down.] We could be the ones making out.

[ she tilts her head a little to look at him. ] Do you ever want... variety? Not, like, with other people, we get that all the time. But with us?

[and he half-sits up to look back at her.] What do you mean by variety? [he's listening, ok. you've got him intrigued.]

Well. It's sort of... the same thing a lot of the time. Witty banter, having a row, more witty banter, sex. And it's not that it isn't brilliant, I love having sex with you, and I will continue to do so until we're old or one of us dies and to be honest, I'm pretty sure we'll still be fucking if we actually get old. But! Don't you ever want to get... creative?

[ambitionist]

[there are some mixed feelings going here because he's been purposefully trying to avoid having actual sex with her ever since the abortion. which isn't to say that he's like n o p e no more sex ever (that would be insane), he's just ... hesitant. so even though he appreciates the suggestion of changing it up, he doesn't like thinking about a future lifetime of awkwardness forever. it's feeling like forever right now.] I'm waiting for you to define creative.

I don't know. [ she laughs softly, definitely not picking up on any of his hesitance or awkwardness. ] I just got thinking about you and Nate and there was stacks of Cosmos when I was getting my hair done today, I mean, it's not weird, is it? Wanting to try something new?

[ambitionist]

No, I just wanted to know what you were thinking of. [he sits up all the way and does a little stretch. such sexy joint popping noises.] Usually people don't say stuff like that without having at least one particular idea in mind.

Oh. I haven't. [ she shifts to sit since he's all moving and stuff now. ] There was thirty one things on that weird list, I haven't exactly narrowed it down.
